Why not a MEGA2560/Due-size Cortex-M7 board as a next step from the Metro M7 project, and add an SBUS Inverter as well for those working on Robotics using R/C Receivers.

They did say that there are just enough gpio for this form factor, so not enough for a mega/grand central size.

I'm waiting for those ESP32C6 (I think I got that right) RiscV boards. Considering the power two camera ports might be necessary if the bandwidth allows.

It is not surprising that the floppy disk interface is pretty low level given timeframe. But somewhat surprising that they are hard to keep up with given timeframe. I can still hear the thunk when you inserted a floppy and the drive started spinning and operating system started reading from the drive. Ingrained.

Old computers had a dedicated controller for floppies, in general.

I am in awe of what Lady Ada knows just "on the fly". Incredible human! (If I ever get kidnapped by aliens I will mention she is the human race's gold standard for "normal".)

How close is that Floppy Feather to being a USB interface to standard 5¼" & 3½" floppy drives. I have quite a few operational 5¼" floppy drives but I have only seen & own a USB based 3½" floppy drive. I have a massive collection of 5¼" & 3½" discs going back to the original IBM PC (before the XT). I hate having to keep a Win9x machine operational because you can't connect floppy drives to motherboards anymore.

About a year ago they posted a video of a feather rp2040 acting as a mass storage device with a floppy drive attached, so there you go.

What is the maximum storage size in the SD card. Which SD formats do you support? SDHC or SDXC.

I believe that all depends on software, think even the latest ones still support SPI mode.
