How about a #PiCowbell Ethernet breakout... almost every Ethernet breakout module out there is limited by SPI speeds of the Ethernet controller interface (e.g. ENC28J60, W5500, etc.). How about developing a PIO option to handle Ethernet parallel comms to boost the speed (e.g. W6100 should work here). Anyway, keep up the good work...

I believe the ov540 is 5Mpix - which is way more pixels than you can fit in the pico RAM. Are the captured images heavily cropped and/or lower resolution?
