Is the matter esp32 board compatible with normal zigbee?

I’m just learning all things (honestly was directed to learn python for work and I found you all… not exactly the target implementation, but got to have fun!!) I have for home; dual linear actuators. I got inspired by you all to make into a tv/bar lift behind a sideboard. Would that be like the analog switch, a different dual direction relay? Anyway to go crazy and add the lights and movement to same chip? (Currently just have premade zigbee wled controller for lights) I’m going big since I’m super adhd and I keep watching thinking “for science!!!” I hope my hyper fixation thought loop inspired by the last two chips sorta made sense. lol Btw - totally obsessed with your stuff and thank you so so so much for all you are doing. Got my son included in the fun and we’re constantly shooting each other products, cultz print links (how i found you guys) and videos!!!!!

I've worked on a similar project not too long ago. Depending on what you want to do with those actuators, you may want to keep the electronic controls simple: Assuming the actuators have just 2 wires for positive and negative power and no fancy built-in controller or positioning circuit, hook them up to a relay "H bridge" so the actuators can extend and retract from the MCU (don't forget the flyback diodes, or get relays that have them built in), limit switches or break-beam sensors so you're not trying to extend or retract past a physical limit, etc. Check out the schematic for SparkFun's quad relay board to get an idea of how to drive a relay from a microcontroller (MCU pin > optoisolator > BJT transistor > relay, I think it went). Limit switches like the ones Omron sells often have both a normal-closed and normal-open pin. I found a bunch of example circuits online, and a really clever one used the limit switch to break the relay circuit, so it would be physically impossible for the motors to go past the limit switch unless the switch was out of alignment or damaged. Also, raising or lowering with more than one motor/actuator can easily result in the actuators ending up in different positions, resulting in skew. The Prusa i3 printers solve this by forcing the X gantry parallel by driving both Z motors all the way up. But it's often much simpler to just use one actuator and make sure the load goes up level and parallel. The CAD guy I was working with came up with a scissor lift mechanism because we wanted to see a controlled lifting and lowering action on the feature. Since you're looking to raise and lower a television, you should make sure the weight of that TV doesn't exceed the actuator's maximum load. Check the datasheet for that. Good luck! Hope that helped.
