Of course he did. One side, Hannity/Trump/half the country believes the proper mental state is to demonize the other side, pretending that us in the center are “liberals”. Hannity promised that this interview would be without 'Interruption'. "I did promise the governor that I would give him a chance to respond to each question without interruption" yet, Hannity interrupted Newsome's responses on nearly EVERY question.

From someone who thought that Gavin Newsom was one of the heads of the liberal goons, I will happily admit that he opened my eyes here. Newsom is a very intelligent man and he had the guts to come into a foreign environment to have his views challenged. The fact that he was open to having a discussion about every single Republican talking point and debate the facts really impressed me. I was completely wrong about him.

It's good for two reasons: Hannity doesn't throw soft-ball question as he does to Trump, and Newsom can actually provide coherent and informed answers, unlike Trump. Not to mention that Hannity has a hard time handling someone that actually calls him on his BS.

How do you feel about the other big networks, you know CNN, MSNBC, ABC. CBS, NBC? Do you hold similar views of them? Or do you view these favorably? Why or why not? However, FOX News just recently settled with Dominion voting systems (1.6 BILLION) for 787.5 million. FOX News is also facing a 2.7 BILLION dollar lawsuit from Smartmatic voting systems for defamation. All the news outlets serve the almighty dollar, and tend to have some level of bias. There was a PBS documentary decades ago in which some Bay Area liberals got a film crew and drove to the California mountains to talk civilly with right wingers. The conversations were civil, a lot of calm explanations and a lot of listening happened. Driving away, the liberals said amongst themselves "everything those guys said makes sense". The left has to listen to the right and vice versa. Listening to echo chambers divides us, and when that happens the political insiders just serve themselves.

Newsom is full of it though he is a good liar though. For example he says close to being 4th largest economy when in reality only reason we became 5th was because the uk is doing bad and Germany is still 900 billion more gdp which would mean Californian would have to raise their gdp by 30 pct. Last statistics that came out says 34 pct of people live in poverty in ca in 2021 and has gotten worse with cost of living continuing to go up. Our tax rate is crazy because of how high minimum wage is if you have a job that pays 25 pct above minimum wage you're in a higher tax bracket that takes 29 pct of your income compared to 16 pct if you make minimum wage so basically better off working a minimum wage job than a skilled job that pays a little more.

Gavin Newsom is attractive, tall, and looks like an anime character. So shallow people will mindlessly support him/his views. However, a lot of what he said, was simply untrue, or illogical. For example, he talked about dealing the best hand that you are dealt in terms of giving free money to illegal immigrants… In terms of free college, free medical, etc…. One thing that he left out of the conversation, is that when you offer those incentives to illegal immigrants, the psychology of human brains is such that wayyy more illegal immigrants are going to want to come across *in the first place* .

Also, I don’t think they giving illegal immigrants free healthcare, IS best for the country. I think it bankrupt the country, while selfishly benefiting the illegal immigrants.

@@charlesg7926 I agree with your analysis to a point. However immigration was just one of many topics of debate and conversation. He dissected each and every one of them with mostly facts where hannity couldn’t counter.

Not entertaining the fringe who are absolutely insane and completely brainwashed by the media and corporate Jedi mind tricks and conspiracy theories! I did not like Newsom going into this interview. I dislike him less after. He was willing to debate and he articulated his points very well. I think he had better arguments.

Good interview. But as a prelude to the DeSantis/Newsome debate one can clearly see DeSantis is going to be sorely outclassed. Personally, I believe that debate is going plummet into Hannity/DeSantis ganging up on Newsome.

@ActionAlex Newsom didn't say a single fact. Cost of living has gone so crazy since he became governor a cheap 1 bedroom goes for over 1,000. Poverty rate is really in the 34 pct area because anyone making less than 47k a year is in poverty if you look at how much it cost to live in ca. The biggest growth in economy is in the section with real estate because cost to buy a house has doubled and so has gpd for selling them. If you take away close to a million illegal immigrants that came into California last year the population of ca went way down from the number he uses.
