the music gets better when you fuse monsters too. when you fuse that's when the music goes from an instrumental into vocals combined and it makes it feel very anime.

Man the amount of times I fuse my pals and then just rock out for the next like half hour, my playtime is gonna be nuts

The mix is not good at all. The vocals completely overpower the backing track. That's why it sounds bad, because it isn't mixed well.

I feel like it levels out more a bit into the session, although the other end of it is in my longer sessions sometimes the graphics get corrupted. I’ve been playing it on switch and while I would love an update to fix it all I’m still having a Great time with it

yeah part of the story is you and other people from different dimensions/time periods end up on this island, so the cassette tape/player is foreign to some of them.

@@mitrimind1027 Read this post by Ask A Game Dev. He's someone who works in the game industry. "The majority of Pokemon’s money is not actually earned by the pokemon games. The vast majority of Pokemon’s money actually comes from other related stuff - merchandising, brand licensing, television shows, and so on. These things all have their own budgets, schedules, and plans. These other elements are all dependent on the game releasing a new generation of pokemon on time. Things like advertising and product launches are planned months or even years in advance. The details are set up with partner companies with contracts very early in order to get a spot in the calendar (especially if they plan on launching during the busy holiday season). All of the advertising, product shipping, shelf space at retailers, promotional tie-ins, television premiere dates, etc. are all promised, expected, and paid for. The contracts are signed and notarized. This means that the release date can’t just be pushed back because the game needs more development time - they’d lose millions from having to pay for all of the deals that were promised in those contracts. Hiring people isn’t an instantaneous process. [It can take weeks or even months from first contact to a new hire’s starting day, and that doesn’t even include the time it takes to find rare spawns like technical artists or senior developers] or the weeks/months it takes to bring the new hires up to speed on being productive. This basically means that any sort of hiring decisions for the project/company must be made really really early in the development process in order to have enough lead time to find, hire, and train new team members. In my experience, that process takes, at minimum, six months from start to finish. For senior positions, this can be even longer - my last studio spent eight months looking for a senior gameplay engineer and eventually had to settle for a mid-level engineer they felt could grow into a more senior role. This means that, if you want a new artist to be modeling pokemon for 12 months of scheduled production time, you need to start looking for this artist at minimum a year and a half before the launch date. This means that Game Freak must make their hiring decisions while planning the game out in the early stages. If everything goes to plan (as it usually does), nobody will notice or have a problem with it. However, in the rare situation where the leadership has to decide whether to do something completely different than what was planned (e.g. player response to a promotional material), it is incredibly difficult to pivot quickly and hire a bunch of people to do the new thing because it takes at least six months to find, hire, and train these new people and the release date is set in stone due to the previously mentioned contracts. Marketing material for a new game typically starts about a year out from launch - Pokemon Sword and Shield’s reveal trailer was launched about 9 months before the games’ release date - which means that any hiring in response to player reaction would have meant - at most - three months of productive work during the final phase of [the production cycle] (bug fixing and certification). This is why “just hire more people” doesn’t work - by the time the players see the problems and complain, there isn’t enough time left to make a major change without losing millions in contracts and deals set up long beforehand."

The truth is that they don't really care because the fans will still buy the game even if it's low quality with gamecube era graphics, people who have worked for game freak have even left reviews stating as such.
