He really seemed like the coolest guy and his music doesn’t feel old. I’m just discovering him now and I wish he’s still alive! However, he did have lots of physical and mental health issues that tormented him daily. Being a drug addict doesn’t help… I heard somewhere that he wasn’t feeling well the day of this performance and threw up right before performing. It’s incredible that he can still sing like that when he’s not feeling well!

Haven't Kurt started out with an acoustic guitar? He's a good player actually, not much unwanted sounds coming out, very straight forward punk sound and emotional lyricism Heard that the moment i first listened to Nirvana, on my sis' burned disc in a car, with "best of" Also agree that the drum sticks add a ton to the show's character

Look at the facts. 3x the lethal amount of heroin. He didn't die or pass out. He wrote "suicide note" then he had enough function to point a shot gun at his head. I still haven't figured out how he would have reached the trigger, but after all that, he wiped the prints. Clearly a suicide and not a murder.

i feel sad sometimes because i'll never get to go to a show like this, it's a shame kurt is gone. but i'm still glad these songs exist everywhere today to be heard, nirvana is an experience that has that go through the lives of many people in the world yet.

This album changed my life. I was 11. Had never heard anything like it. So powerful. To this day it's still my safe space and my safe zone. When I need to reset from life or whatever; I just play this and everything else fades and goes away and makes for a fresher more exciting start to everything. I've also used it throughout my life to decorate special capsules of time like dinners, dates and special encounters with women, party music, meditation sessions and most importantly: solitary and safe moon nights. Most recently, when my grandfather died a year ago, I was with him the moment he passed. He had confided in me a year previous to that during a Christmas gathering, that he knew he was going to die soon. And sure enough, it happened right before my eyes, 11 or so months later. The doctors told us that there was nothing left for us to do but wait for it to happen. Had never actually seen a person die before. But it was only at that moment when I realized that. After it was all over and done, I came back to this album. I layed awake at night in the dark with my headphones on. Replaying "On a Plain" and "Dumb" over and over. It sure gave me some peace. There was some sadness that I felt, but more than anything: it was a sense of finality and relief. It still gets me going after all these years. I've done a lot of stuff to this album. But I just have never lost touch with it. There was a time (many years ago) when I stopped listening to Nirvana. But I just could never completely sever ties with this record. I ultimately just came back with my tail between my legs and just embraced Nirvana as hard as I could from that moment on. To the point where they've almost given me part of my identity. I'm sure I'll be listening to "Unplugged" when I'm 90 on vinyl and still dig the hell out of it.

John 11 25 Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection and the Life. He that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; 26 and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 6 68 Then Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life, Psalm 119 30 I have chosen the way of truth; Thy judgments have I laid before me. Psalm 119 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee. This will be one comment in a million, likely to never be noticed. But I'm going to make it anyway. I was was born in March 1979. We lost Kurt in 1994 so sadly. At the time I was in to Bon Jovi, Alice in Chains, Guns and Roses, Metallica, etc. It wasn't until I met a girl, on a school trip to Washington DC, from Canada. We really hit it off on the trip. In Fact I was planning on running away from home on the trip because of family problems. Anyways, we got back from that trip after having a whirlwind romance and were together for about 6 years. When Kurt left our world it ruined her. I didn't know much about his music, but afterwards started getting into it. At the time the next big thing was NIN and pumpkins and what not. But now, as a nearly 45 year old man, which still thinks like a 20yo can nearly tear up to any Nirvana song just through his expression. This may sound bad, and possibly even very wrong, but I think in some small way we can appreciate his music at the same frequency it was written because he is gone. Every strum from the guitar, every bleeding beautiful tone of his voice, drum beat and thought put into his music is never going to be repeated in my opinion. The reason I bring this up is because I didn't know Nirvana at the time. The girl I met on the bus to Washington was a huge fan. When Kurt died she made several suicide attempts because she was so enamored by his music. It wasn't until years later that I finally found his resonance. And its unforgettable and more than even that. No words. Anyways... Lost but never, not ever... forgotten. RIP Kurt.

Ciclopea2 honestly, I thought he was a real attractive fellow too, but I could understand how he felt, people tell me how I’m attractive and I shouldn’t feel ugly or unattractive, but I see my self as ugly and shitty I can’t bring myself to believe it, self esteem and self image issues really suck man, you could be the most attractive person in the world and still see yourself as unattractive.

@@seamusmcsorley7638& all in this post: MTV would *never* post this video/concert without multiple rehearsals just for performance 'perfection' and album sales (and even using MTV's name alone signifies a shit ton of work on behalf of the band just to be able to say 'MTV'") ... that being said, there is no reason to call people names for not knowing protocol... Do we need ad hominem attacks to disagree? And before folks try to "denounce" my thoughts, I actually SAW THEM LIVE and not just on a youtube.

I imagine you are an ignorant in the singing subject. The " rasp " in his voice obviously wasn't natural, it's called vocal drive, do some research. Joe Cocker's rasp was natural, many others, but Kurt did forced some to fit the style or whatever he meant to by that

The acoustic performances by Nirvana are so relaxing, I have the Nirvana unplugged cd, my favorite song on it is The man who sold the world!! I was only 16 when Kurt Cobain died, I am now 44! He was taken from us way too soon.... Only 27 wow!!! He could have gone further had he been able to stay off the drugs, R.I.P Kurt, thank you for the music.

I am a year older than you and with growing up in the 1980's, being exposed to Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, then having it turn into the Hair Bands of the late 1980's, our generation was looking for something different. Bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney, etc... brought us the Seattle Sound and it was EXACTLY what we were all looking for. I listened to a WIDE range of music, but at that time of my life (graduated HS in 1995), this was my favorite type of music to listen to. From Beastie Boys to Rage Against the Machine. From NWA to Young MC. From Pantara to Metallica. I love it all but when I wanted to jam and let time slip away, I always listened to that Grunge sound. In regards to Kurt dying at 27, or should I say, being killed at 27..... He was a candle burning at both ends. He was going to burn out anyway. People like him always do. Jim Morrison (The Doors), Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Brian Jones (Rolling Stones), Jimi Hendrix., Janis Joplin., Robert Johnson and more. Like Chris Farley & John Belushi , we would all love to see them lived out long lives of more great material and comedy, but it just wasn't in the cards. Some candles burn bright for a long time. Some burn and then fizzle out. Some candles are burned at both ends and just can't last. Some of the best were this way....and maybe that's what made them legends? Who knows.

How ironic is that your favorite song of Nirvana unplugged is a song that doesn't even belong to Nirvana... I would have preferred that they played songs like Lounge act, Lithium and Heart shaped box, instead of that "Meat puppets" shit.

My favorite Nirvana album. The VHS was sold out everywhere I went - which wasn't far since I was 12 years old. This is why UKposts is the best! "About a Girl" always sounded like an early Beatles song to me
