@@Willfa_as mentioned in the video, youtube will change the rating if they think there's error or abuse. however, youtubes stupid as fuck, so some creators will have the ratings on their videos be incorrectly changed to "for kids."

@@Willfa_ not always, sometimes a video will be uploaded and not be marked for kids, but maybe a year or two later when you come back to it it’s suddenly says for kids when it originally was not and it is clearly not for kids when it’s animated with blood and gore. I’ve seen this happen multiple times and I hate it.

Ask them to revert it back, that'll be super hard, but if they revert it, after some months it gets labeled again as made for kids. Also, comments will be permanently deleted after 30 days when the video is labeled. No choice bro.

It's because the mod bot looks at the video and concludes "spongebob = kids" so if the creator does not keep an eye at their videos it may be flagged as for kids. Very annoying, and dangerous.

I agree with @Quasar. Reaction content only hurts original creators as the reactors are always bigger and therefor their reactions will always get shown first. Then even if you do stumble across the original video or even if it is linked are you really going to watch it? Of course not because you’ve already seen it on “insert reactors name here’s” channel. Not to mention the reactors are only bigger because they can spam out videos that take ZERO effort to produce because in all reality they are simply stealing the hard work of original creators. So the reactors rake in thousands while original creators only get nickels & dimes for their hard work. Reactors NEED TO GO if we want to do original creators ANY justice.

exactly. It's not the responsibilty of the internet to parent their children. They should act like actual parents and make sure their children are watching safe content, not force everyone else to do it instead.

On one hand, I completely agree with you in regard to parent responsibility. (Wishing the world to be better won't change anything, though. Many parents are not responsible for their own kids, and due to their own ego or ignorance, they'll never change, and it's not a generational thing, either.) With that being said, it's completely unfair and unrealistic for anyone to say that parents should be responsible over their spawn 100% of the time. Occasionally, things will slip through the cracks, and either in public or online, they'll see or hear something that isn't appropriate for their age. In those cases, the parent should sit down with them, educate them on how it's not appropriate, maybe set up stricter parental controls, enforce firmer boundaries (no computer time unless I'm in the same room, and you're facing me, the parent), so forth. In my opinion, children should not be on the Internet, period. (Unless perhaps they're watching a movie or an educational program with their parent(s) next to them, once in a while.) Better yet, teenagers should not be on the Internet either - not only is there not benefit to doing so, but take a 5-second glance at TikTok and Twitter, and you'll see it's an active detriment to their social development. 18-19 years should be the minimum age, maybe as old as 25. Unfortunately, though, there's no way to enforce that, unless you want to give super sensitive info to every large corporation out there.

yeah, it’s been dealt with luckily 😅 but like i was saying in another reply, the fact that it was like this for so long discouraged me from making minecraft content, and i can’t be the only one. there’s a whole next generation of million dollar minecraft youtubers that just got skipped because youtube didnt want to do anything about it. and if being told “hello nolo2gogo, wake up at 3:05 AM” isn’t scary enough for youtube to step in, i don’t know what is.

go not made for kids if you want it to be seen by adults. if the primary audience is kids, then go Made for Kids
