People can find anything to hate on someone about. Simon had respect for these two contestants. Going through everything they’ve probably had to go through. The emotional foul, I would hope everyone would have the same reaction Simon had. Total and utter respect. Simon didn’t all of a sudden say I loved it. He said I gave you an ex because I thought it was a big slow and didn’t get the story, but having it explained made much more sense. That made me enjoy it more too. What person wouldn’t feel remorseful realizing you may have stopped someone’s dream who has been through something absolutely traumatic and something you’ll never really understand. It’s human to feel remorse! Much respect!

@@Blueybeak Sound like you're quite hurt for someone simply respecting Ukraine, even though Simon stuck with his criticism after they said they were from Ukraine, but you want to be like the other braindead disrespectful a**holes and make a mockery out of a country that's in a war, it's not cool nor cute, and if your country was in a war and was being attacked and you were respected to show up on stage and battling it through to try and find enjoyment for what you're suffering from, wouldn't you appreciate a little respect? (Obviously not overly liking you just because where you come from, but at least being respected and showing some compassion rather it be none at all) And yes they are still going to be judged on their talent and skills, I mean it was honestly barely passable, so for it to gone through the auditions regardless of where they come from seems about right for this show

Also, I don't know where you heard/read about Ukrainian "belonging to Belarus language", but it was probably an honest mistake By the way, I don't know if you know, but all Ukrainians know Ukrainian, even the so-called Russian-speaking ones. They know and they can speak Ukrainian (and they do in somewhat more "formal" settings), but it's more common for their regions to speak russian among friends and family due to centuries of occupation. But the situation changes and more and more Ukrainians (from "Russian-speaking regions") choose to speak Ukrainian to friends and family ❤️

I don’t know how to approach this right. I did not find the act appealing. It was slow and kind of awkward tbh. I know there are some who love this type of entertainment. I don’t feel the audience was feeling it. Definitely, Simon wasn’t. I feel once they said they were from Ukraine, everyone changed to cheering them on. Now, I’m hoping it was due because they were safe from the horrors in their country. Then everyone wanted them to move forward with the act. Is it because they are from Ukraine or they believe the act is worth 1M?

However, regardless of where a performer is from, a "yes" or "no" should be based on the performance alone. Contortionists have been around for many years, and it is an oddity that some people like. However, I get the feeling that Simon was honest in the beginning. If the performers were from anywhere else, he wouldn't have rescinded his x.
