As a piercer, there is definitely a difference. The gun is horrific. It doesn't pierce your tissue like a needle, it just punches a hole through your skin and tissue with the blunt end of an earring. It takes so much longer to heal and it also can cause a lot of scarring and even kelloids. Especially with cartilage too, which is like elastic bone. Sometimes it can shatter and doesn't even heal and you have to remove the piercing entirely.

My mom is 62 and she went to a tattoo shop last month and got her ears pierced for the first time. She said they were so nice and said tons of grown ups come in for that.

It’s a lot safer to have your ears pierced with a needle!!! A gun cannot be sanitised, it’s dirty. The gun forces a blunt piece of metal to rip through the skin and can cause a lot of infections, the trauma can cause keloids!!

its not good for anyone to get their ears done with a gun (something I just recently learned myself). reasons why, 1 the jewelry they use is usually cheaper and more likely your body will react negatively toward it especially if your skin is sensitive.. and reason 2. a gun causes damage to your ear as itt punctures more than it pierces so you can get keloids or scarring easily with the gun.

I have been making those Oreo balls for years. My suggestion is make them smaller. And don't worry about the sticks in them. I also freeze them till almost sold and then dip them in chocolate. Hope that helps😉
