Dave has sooo many skills but I wasn't prepared for a three-egg flip!

I think he surprised himself on that one

Dave, the only words missing when you were burning the tank are, "Hold my beer, hey, Y'all, watch this." Always look forward to your videos.

Great to see some uploads around the abandoned cabin.
@RockymountainRobertМісяць тому
It's going to be cool to see Dave fix up his cabin.
@markrichards3747Місяць тому
When I was a kid my Dad went in the backyard with a hacksaw, grinder, some hinges and other assorted hardware and a 50 gallon oil drum. A few hours later he was barbecuing chicken and grilling hamburgers. Over the years his oil drum grill was the main attraction at a lot of family get togethers. Dave, if my Dad was alive today he'd be your biggest fan.

I love the idea to repurpose the old fuel tank.
@retro8696Місяць тому

If I ever got stuck in the woods I would want to be with you and Brook so I know I would survive. I find both of your channels relaxing and a chance to learn something. You are both so knowledgeable about the wilderness so thanks for sharing it.

Love how you “repurposed” that old fuel tank. Thanks for showing all the steps you took.
@colin8532Місяць тому
Ok, now that's pretty slick. I LOVE the height of it. I'm a tall guy myself, and get so sick of having to bend over to do everything. I believe I'm going to make something like this myself.
@steoff4635Місяць тому
Great stuff. Built my own man cave because of this channel. 👍🇬🇧👍

@CraigArndtМісяць тому
Awesome video, that was so cool. And a great reminder for anyone welding or grinding on a propane tank to make a BBQ- it may be your last. Definitely need to get the fuel out of all those pores in the steel.
@Objective-ObserverМісяць тому
Cool! It's always fun to see an old fashioned Repurpose.
@gkeyman565Місяць тому
Great re-cycle on that tank, no welding required.. should last longer than you'll need it. Have a great day

@milliealford8968Місяць тому
Wow 3 Whipples in 1 day and your daughter yesterday. What great weekend! You are just Amazing. 😊
@audiotechlabs4650Місяць тому
Your repurpose of the fuel tank……..”Brilliant”! The leg spacing looked a little close together, some sort of a base that’s wider than the legs are now. Or anchored in rock or dirt especially if you have a place you will make your outdoor kitchen. Love you and Brook! Looking forward to seeing how you renovate this property, it’s the whole property you renovate not just the house. What you have done so far is great and seeing the stove you made and the food you cooked says you will not starve! Carry on! Make another video soon, I’m so excited to watch! Thanxz
@marciaolson4878Місяць тому
So great seeing you Dave, been tending to my hubby and RSV for four weeks, it’s great just hanging with you and watching what you’re up to. So good to just relax and watch. Tx Dave for taking us along, very relaxing!❤❤❤❤

@marymarciante9564Місяць тому
Love it! I would have never thought to turn the tank into a stove! 👍🏻❤️
@sandranelson7124Місяць тому
(Tom here.) Dave, it's really amazing how lazy and uncaring some people can be. Whoever left that kerosene burner there really didn't care about cleaning up after themselves. What a Lazy-Butt!!!! I'm glad you were able to re-purpose it and use it for your own good, sir. A lot of people can learn SO MUCH from you and Brooke through your videos!! Thank you for providing these posts to everyone here on UKposts. Take care and may GOD continue to bless you, Brooke, and your whole family as you continue to do your work. (Tom)

They found that place abandoned and called the guy who owned it to buy it. Dave said he didn't think anybody had been out there since the 1980's. Abandoned places are fascinating.

I love cookin on a wood stove outside. I got a stove given to me a few months ago and it lives outside. I have a fire going almost nonstop, so its always ready to cook on.
@edsomers7814Місяць тому
Such a great idea I’ll bet you’ll get a lot of use out of that especially when you start renovating the cabin.loved the video keep them coming Dave😊☮️
@stevesampier527Місяць тому
Also, kind of amazed that valve worked.
@PeaceWorkIIМісяць тому
I went to Costa Rica with Brooke and we made hand-made tortillas on similar kind of flat big top. That farm made the best home grown and fresh hand ground coffee ive ever put to my lips. Tell Brooke to bring the tortilla dough and salsa her next trip up to the UP cabin. Gotta break that in properly on a Taco Tuesday. Eveyday is taco Tuesday in my house. Maybe see what porcupine tacos taste like. 😂 salsa and sour cream, guac...probably all tastes good!
@Whipple1Місяць тому
Great video Dave. Keep ‘em coming. Looking forward to seeing you turn this place into a livable camp. Cheers! Whipple
@grandenforcer1789Місяць тому
That burning off the fuel vapours was amazing to see, looked like CGI! Must have been quite a sight first hand! Great video, thanks for making!
@christinerakela1306Місяць тому

I'm a new subscriber. Love the flow of the video. Children learning by example and they seem to enjoy it all. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I'm from Central Oklahoma
@cynthiajohnson9412Місяць тому
Maybe it's just me, but it looked like the stove was working fine. I wouldn't sacrifice the cook space on top to put in a bigger pipe, unless you are planning to bring it indoors in the winter. Or you could vent it with a bigger pipe off the back side and not have to do any trade-off with space. I love all that great space on top, and I wouldn't lose an inch of it if the stove works well as is.
@rebel97638 днів тому
Perfect timing for me. Been needing to build a dirty kitchen on my property. Taxes are killing me so trying to cut costs where I can. Have unlimited wood on land. A large square fuel tank has been laying on part of the property for the last 20 years or so. Never got around to hauling it off, so glad I didn't. Thank you for my new woodstove.
@williammeek7218Місяць тому
Great use of that fuel cell. Fun watching it burn out. Thanks David.

That's definitely a great idea. You're able to cook for a large group in a very timely manner while everyone is enjoying the campfire. All you need is a little area with a covered roof and Bob's your uncle!
@gigi3242Місяць тому
I've always thought of you as a down to earth guy with a lot of common sense... until this video. Glad it turned out good. Have a wonderful week.
