Consider this a sequel to the "Drawing like a Painter" video I made years ago.
In this video, I go over the main brush I currently use in Corel Painter and also discuss the main ideas I try to keep in mind when digital painting.
If you want to try Corel Painter, here is a link to more info: store.corel.com/1103/cookie?a...
If you want to further support these videos. Feel free to contribute at: / sinix
Don't worry if you can't contribute. The videos will always keep coming regardless. Just keep watching and hopefully enjoying.

hey everyone! as a fellow ibis paint x user i thought to help you guys with what brushes i use to get this sculptor effect on ibis paint 1) you need a fade brush( i personally use the watercolur pencil brush) 2) the smudge tool procedure- you basically after drawing the strokes with the fade brush(watercolour pencil), switch between the smudge tool to blend the colours. hope this helped🤗

Guys who want to MAKE this brush on PROCREATE I have a configuration! In the Paint tab of the brushes, choose the flat brush and open its settings by giving another touch. In the first tab (tracing) Place the following values: Spacing 8.7%, streamline 0%, tremulation 0%, drop 0%. Below choose pressure narrowing, and choose size and pressure at MAX. In the Form tab put dispersion at 0% and rotation also at 0% and mark filtration shape with improved. In Granulate put everything in 0% and mark the filtration as Classica. In the Dynamica tab comes the most important: mark the brush as wet mixture and put dilution 95% and load at 84% attack by 1% and pull at 25%, gradation put everything to the right, and put all in dynamic of the opacity at 0%. In the Brush tab, put the opacity options on the max and angle at 62% (all others in this tab put 0%!). And lastly, in the General tab on the brush's behavior part, turn on the classic narrowing option and place the option to smudge at 90%. Its Done. Ps: I use procreate in Portuguese and so I may have translated some settings with different name!

This is an EXCELLENT overview of your approach to painting, and offers a wonderful insight. This tutorial actually *_IS_* a tutorial! (Imagine!) A quick question: Do you if know if the brush in question comes with "Painter Basics"? BTW: I used to be a big supporter of Painter, but it kept getting more and more bloated and they kept changing the interface. And of course there are a lot more "natural media" brushes in almost all painting software these days. I'm a HUGE fan of Manga Studio 5 currently.

I really enjoyed watching this and found myself wanting to try out my copy of Corel (which i've only opened recently but done nothing with) - thank you!

I'm using Corel Painter 2016 and I can't seen to find the Acrylics > Dry Brush, for one, now the Acrylics and Gouache brushs are in the same category and there is no Dry Brush... Helpo?

I made a video called Corel Painter 2016 quick setup a couple months back, it goes over this. Basically, there is an option for using the painter 12 brush library you have to get it from there.

Wow. This was amazing. I recently started to try and learn how to 'draw'. I use Krita, and have been desperately trying to learn. I've been having a hard time finding a style that speaks to me, but I LOVE this. This is exactly what I want to be able to do... So my question to you is, do you have any other tutorials with this style? And, do you have any advice you can give right now that would help learn how to paint with this style? Lastly, I want to thank you a ton! This was amazing, I'm so happy I stumbled upon this, seriously great vid man.

Octahedron I think otherwise, he has already made a 'tutorial' for it. To think he may go a bit more in depth in his teachings shouldn't be too far off.

There are some on the gumroads of some artists. But I do recommend to make your own.

Check out the blend brush (dripping paint on the icon) and play around with the settings. You can adjust how much paint you want to carry, how fast it wears off and so on. Hope this helps
