They went to their local record shop and the kid had never heard of them so thought they meant Pantera and set my grandparents up with the "vulgar display of power" cassette, man was that a shock for Christmas, the heaviest thing I had listened to up to that point was the scorpions. Just a little side note about Darrell, the guitarist. In the Dallas, Ft. Worth Metroplex, he won every guitar competition he entered, it got to the point that the promoters wouldn't let him enter anymore, and, they made him a judge. His first competition was at 14. When he played at some venues, he wasn't old enough to get in, so he had to have a parent attend the show with him so he could play.

Totally. I always appreciate when well trained/experienced singers or composers or what have you break down what they are hearing and appreciate the major skill that these kind of groups have and demonstrate routinely in thier music, that so many people bag on because 'it's just noise'.

This my favourite metal masterpiece of all time ❤️❤️❤️ Music, vocals, lyrics, the mood and the (handsome) band members so perfectly performing together like one organizm 😍Sounds like nothing there was by accident.

@Joe B hey brother I am an older man and have been lucky enough to see both DD on his own and Pantera play many times. It is great to see others appreciate the same stuff that liked as a younger man. Thanks

I’m not a massive pantera fan but always loved this song and I love that she is so “intrugued” if that’s the right word even tho she is not super into metal she very much gets it

@@daveslocum5625 Pantera is the greatest metal band of all time. My reasoning..... to me, Metalica is the U2 of metal, very if that makes any sense. Pantera is the Skynard of metal.
