@@atr4853 it's basically how something is filmed or shot. So for instance if you used Instagram back in the old days all images were posted in a 1:1 ratio meaning it always looked like a square. The number on the left is the width while the number on the right is for height 1(width):1(height). To explain it more, you know how you go to the movie theatre and the movie always has the black bars at the top and the bottom? It would be because the the way it was filmed was in 16:4 (these aren't exact ratios I'm just throwing out numbers for the sake of explaining) but when the movie comes out on dvd they would release it in full screen and make it 16:8 to fit your television. I hope this helps and makes sense. I haven't done film in a long time so it's a little hard for me to explain

I imagine not a lot of those things are going to be applicable for most users. *LPDDR5 RAM* RAM is already incredibly fast and energy efficient so the upgrade from LPDDR4X isn't that major. From LPDDR3, sure. That said, technological advances are always welcome. *Liquid cooling* I remember when the Meizu 16th claimed this and in reality it wasn't that much different to current smartphone cooling systems. Besides, for actual water cooling, you'd need to power a pump to move the water around, else you'd need to resort to "bong cooling" which is not practical for a phone at all. *UFS 3.1 storage* The speed upgrades on this are actually pretty impressive: 3x over 3.0. Download speeds won't change because then the bottleneck will be your internet connection, but you will be able to transfer data to and from a computer or a storage device much faster. There will still be bottlenecks elsewhere, depending on the interface you're moving data over. But all in all, this is likely the most useful out of the four mentioned by a country mile. *120 FPS front facing video camera* Yeah that's cool and all but...are people clamoring for slow motion selfie videos? Maybe there are, but this isn't very interesting overall. More of a gimmick than anything unless there really is interest for slow-mo films of themselves.

Please! Please stop saying that "you are okay" with phones getting more and more expensive. The only reason we see these crazy 1000+ dollar phones is because people keep buying them. If we all said "no", prices would quickly drop. Tech reviewers have a very big responsability here for saying things like "The OnePlus 8 is a cheap phone". It's far from being cheap. I only wish more reviewers would actually say "NO" to phone manufacturers and let them know they've gone to far. Stop suggesting 500, 600, 700 dollars is cheap for a phone, that is crazy! You have great influence over people's buying desitions, and with great influence comes great responsibility.

I mean the only differences I'm noticing are some slight hardware upgrades, an IR blaster, and a much higher price tag. imo it doesn't even feel like it's worth considering if you have a K20 Pro

Yeah, it's too bad that this $500 phone has zero bands for North and South America. I don't understand why Xiaomi releases phones supposedly for the "global" marketplace when these phones aren't truly global. I also don't see why Marques would even bother to review this phone when it will not work for many of his viewers. Xiaomi releases way too many phones that lack too many bands, features are nice, but the phone should be able to make phone calls first and foremost before being a great at anything else. I am ready to upgrade my Mi8 to a new Xiaomi phone as soon as they release a phone that is much better than what I already have. I had planned on buying a Mi10, but it has less compatible bands that my Mi8 Edit: turns out that this Pco F2 pro actually has more bands than I thought with 2, 4 and 5. but it is still missing a lot of bands ( in fact too many) compared to other brands, even budget brands.

@@Garrettdx1988 he can find a nice phone with a Snapdragon 821 for not much more and it will be just as fast as today's top mid-range phones. Good Examples, Oneplus 3 T, Pixel, Le Pro 3, Samsung Galaxy S7, Xiaomi mi5 etc.

Ranking the position options for the front-facing camera is easy: 1st: Under the screen (hopefully near future) 2nd: Notched display (as small as possible, packed with useful sensors) 3rd: Hole punch display (wastes space and is ugly, but gets the job done I guess) 4th: Pop-up camera (tacky, breakable moving parts, problem for cases/skins)
