While out scouting for old homes to metal detect we drove past this 1830s home and instantly knew it was going to be a winner. It's tucked away out of sight, the ground was naturally wavy so no fill dirt was brought it, and the date stone says it was built in 1830 so the age is fantastic. Once we spoke to the homeowner and geared up it was pretty quick that the first cool find was dug up. But then another, and another, and another.... All day long find and find were getting saved from ground and before we knew it our pouches were overflowing with some amazing old period pieces!
