When you get permission to metal detect a house going back to 1740 it's hard not to get goosebumps just thinking about the possibilities of what might be found. If that wasn't motivation enough, we then come to find out that George Washington himself spent several weeks at an Inn located right across the street! So to say we were all psyched to get started would be a heck of an understatement!
Last week we started in the original front yard and found a ton of amazing silver coins, buttons, and other little gizmos; so we knew this was virgin ground. It is just a matter of time until the super early things started to surface and today might just be that day! After the first huge old coin surfaced then the floodgates were opened and more and more came out! Along with some amazing relics, some I've never seen before! What a ride this house has been so far and even after today we still have more ground yet that has some been searched!
