Sad truth is, there was a prediction that was made before the Hersey. If Horus had won, within 200 years the Imperium would have united against chaos, defeated their forces, sealed the eye of terror, likely made peace with the Eldar, and welcomed a new golden age. All because Horus would ha e felt guilty. Remember he wasn't possessed by demons like many of the other fallen Primarchs, just slightly corrupted. That prediction is why the Aplha legion joined the traitors, they were so loyal to the Imperium, that they realised the only way to save it, was first to destroy it. Now though, who knows were their loyalties lie, they could be good, evil or just playing the universes longest game of tag for all we know. That and it's entirely possible no one in the legion knows who is actually in charge, they are after all, all Alpharius.

There are administrative tasks to be done, and he's wasting his time there signing books.

Accurate for a lot of what he has to do these days in current lore. Dude does not like organized religion but has to put up with a galaxy-spanning megachurch of people calling him the child of God Himself, and he can't argue with them too much without potentially starting a civil war.

In most cases he has been pretty grumpy though. Surviving in the woods on your own as a baby on a death world can do that to a guy haha. Very limited people skills, he tries to be chill though, he tries so hard.

He isn't always grumpy he's usually just serious, I think it would have been more accurate to call him the serious one. Also he has quite a few instances of not being "grumpy" the big with Gilluiliman was just one.

Lion ElJohnson is pretty much that one dude who looks perpetually pissed off, but that's just how his face looks and he's actually a pretty nice guy that's just super awkward at doing things.

And so did the Lion himself. They only painted one of their shoulderpads green after the discovery of the Lion to remind them "of the battles fought to tame Caliban under the leadership of the Lion.". You look properly instead. If Lion ever wakes up in the current timeline (which will happen eventually, with how GW has been teasing it), I wouldn't be surprised if he got very confused by his Angels wearing dark green now.

Current speculation says they're a Loyalist descendent of the Thousand Sons legion (I know at least one person put forth an argument and evidence for them being Loyalist Word Bearers successors).
