it's not Dr. Rob's fault that there isn't money for the specialist surgery. he's a general surgeon and he did the procedure he was qualified to do. the 'gold standard' procedure requires a specialist orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Rob is really the star of the show these days. He's like a jovial old professor who has seen it all explaining every step of the procedure as he does it in a simple and clear way as if we're a bunch of first year vet students invited to observe real surgery for the first time. I know I'd want someone like him to teach me if I happened to have wanted to become a vet.

Aww little Roxy I ve seen similar procedures in human beings whilst working in cardiac cath labs as a scrub nurse.. It is an great procedure which prevents major open heart surgery. These vets are amazing ppl.

PDA is a common problem found shortly after birth. It’s actually a fairly easy thing to fix compared to other cardiac anomalies. (at least in humans).

Glad the fur babies made a full ❤️‍🩹 recovery. They had awesome vets and their staff to do a really excellent job on the fur babies surgeries.

I'm not certain, but I'd say they'd lose their monetisation if they showed it. If you pay to be a "Bondi Vet Member", you get unblurred content.

I totally agree with the fact that the fimers should pay for the surgery! 'He's a rescue dog, so there are limited funds'...😑😞

On Vet on the Hill Dr. Scott used a cauterizing tool to remove a bunch of warts from a dog. Would a tool like that had been less dangerous then a scalpel?

I honestly don’t know what I would do if something catastrophic happened to my either of girls. The vets here in the rual area are cheaper that in the big city, but it still would be almost impossible to afford. Roxy is a beautiful girl. Had to smile at Bert, I grew up with a poodle, she was the sweetest girl. Our dachshund had these type of warts.

And considering the production make a fortune off this series getting in people's faces about their private lives they could AT LEAST cover the costs of the more dramatic procedures or donate a % of earnings to help the families and vet teams. Maybe that's why the cost of the procedures is never mentioned now that I think about it.

@@rustyhowe3907 I remember at least one time when the cost (in Australian dollars) was mentioned. Of course, it's always possible that the film company DOES cover the cost and the pet-owners are told to behave as if that were not the case, but I doubt it. It appears that Drs. Chris and Scott do a certain amount of pro bono work - for example, when someone brings in an injured animal that they found on the street, and maybe when they visit animal shelters - but that's clearly not the case with Dr. Rob.

It is a bit rough that they use people's and their pets' unfortunate circumstances to make their living and don't cover any of the costs. I watch a groomer here on UKposts who is able to do all the grooms she posts free of charge. I know a groom is cheaper than a vet procedure, but you'd think they could help a bit. Maybe they do? I dunno.

The blurring is really annoying! If someone doesn’t want to see the details, they can choose to not watch.

The “what ifs” are so irritating. The show would be much better without them. The blurring of details that you’re talking about is not necessary, if you just flash a warning. Either way, I would not ask a child under 8 to watch this because the drama is unhealthy.
