That poor jack russel!! Whoever attempted to correct her entropion in the past CLEARLY did not know what they were doing. Either that, or they didn’t have the proper training. I’m so glad it’s now fixed and her eyes are no longer painful or constantly irritated.

My Jack Russell went completely blind within 6 weeks ~~ he was diagnosed with SARDS ~~ our little Maltipoo took it upon herself to be his very own guide dog. Was adorable & Nobody taught her to do that but she loved Hammy so she took care of him 🤗🤗🤗

I’ve seen Dr Scott do eye surgery on Shar Pei dogs because their eyelids fold under and the lashes scratch them too. I’ve also seen where they basically do something like electrolysis to the lashes. I’m so glad that Dr. Rob was able to help that cute little doggy. And now she’s in her forever home living the best life. What a wonderful thing he did for her

I just can't fathom why someone would dump their animal....it just breaks my heart! I am so glad there are so many rescuers out there helping to save all these precious babies!

Just FYI, Yami said the cat was found by the clinic and had not seen a vet yet, but they are correct that this is 100% normal for rescued kittens to have these parasites. If you adopt, the kitten will have already been treated (prophylacticly) with ringworm and fecal worm prevention and should be fully vaccinated and had checkups while at the rescue/shelter. Every shelter does this. It's standard. If you do find a cat on the street and choose to keep it, please get it a checkup at a vet asap to get their treatment/prevention and their vaccines!!!

Poor little Cara. Apparently, JRTs are the most abandoned dog breed. They're cute, but can be challenging. I wish folks would consider the lifelong commitment of owning any kind of pet and not just how cute they are as babies. I had my Molly for 14 years and I'd hoped for more. 😢

What an absolutely ✨stunning✨turtle mama! She was incredible, what a treat it would be to get to see her in real life. I love turtles and tortoises, from the giant ones to the eensy weensy ones, so very much. They’ve been a lifelong passion of mine and it was quite an experience to watch this whole procedure, even if it was only through the screen lol. I truly hope that one day I’ll be in a position to volunteer at a rescue that deals with turtles. It’s far more common to find rescues that focus on dogs and/or cats, I am likely going to wind up with one of them but I’m still searching. Keeping my 🤞 for a reptile sanctuary that needs volunteers!

Someone who works in a vet office not deworming as soon as you get a stray or kitten. I volunteer and foster kittens myself and even kittens born in the rescue of a stray mama will get dewormed at a month old and the mama would have gotten her deworming too. "Tastes like banana" sounds like Pyrantel and needing again in 2-3 weeks which is good for younger kittens compared to Panacur or Tapex.

Is there any concern for the radiation from the CT scan harming the developing turtle babies?

At the guide dog center they show Coco being in labor but then they switch to a picture of a female under going a c-section. It didn’t make any sense and it should have been documented better. They should have said that she ended up needing a c-section or not shown that scene at all. Not everyone who watches this show is clueless to what is actually happening in the video.

How can a receptionist in a vet's practice be so irresponsible with handling rescue animals? She really shouldn't have been passing a kitten around that potentially has parasites 😑

I realize they breed for specific qualities,, but I wonder if some dogs in shelters could meet the qualifications as guide dogs, too. I hate to see them producing more when so many lose their lives every day for lack of homes...😢

Yay, sea turtles!

Crazy as it sounds my daughter was born with Waardenbug syndrome and she had Entropion.i didn't even know people could get it. At 1 yr old she had to have plastic surgery on her face and surgery to roll her eyelids out. When she was born I didn't think she even had eyelashes. Her surgery was very successful her eyes don't get all crusty like before.

Sometimes i have to fast forward. I feel so sad for the hurting little pup i have to see the cure quickly.

My friend does bully breed dog rescue here in the states and she had an old English Bulldog a few months ago with the inward-turned eyelids. Poor thing had to have emergency surgery because the rubbing got so bad that 4 days before he scheduled appointment one of the eyeballs ruptured. They were able to save the other and now she's just got a permanent winky face. Animals are so much tougher than humans. Although I find some kids are tougher than many adults. My kid has dental surgery to remove his 4 broken top front teeth (he fell at 16 months with a toy and snapped them off at the gumline) and cap his first 4 molars to help them last until it's time for his permanent teeth to come in and the day after surgery, you'd never know he'd had an operation. He was in the best mood and didn't seem to have any pain (although I gave him meds just incase). He's not quite 4 but tough as nails!

I love watching this show. Very entertaining 💕

The pregnant dog was x-rayed to ascertain the # of pups. Is THAT routine? What about ultrasound? I would think that would be safer than radiation, but I don't know, and that is why I am asking.

I hope that sea turtle doesn’t live in that god-forsaken cement tank. There’s absolutely ZERO reasons for breeding dogs with all the unwanted dogs in shelters! The people that do this are adding to the misery of animals!

Wait so, they found a pregnant cat, and the kittens weren't wormed or vaccinated so the kitten is now sick? I'm really confused why they didn't do those health checks after the kittens were born. What kind of rescue doesn't do medical on the animals?

Does there have to be a male sea turtle present for there to be viable eggs? I think reptiles are similar to birds, who need no male to produce infertile eggs, but a male is necessary for fertile, hatching eggs?

Do vets get free treatment for their animals?

I rarely watch this program because of the blurring of surgeries, suturing, and treatments. This is part of vet practice. Anyone “triggered” should know that and not watch. I’m a long time USA RN retired.

I used to love watching this series, but it's to the point it may as well be called "Beautiful Humans" or "Gorgeous Vets." The fact that each vet, male or female, is more good-looking than the next, makes it feel more like a soap opera than anything real. ..and if I wanted to look at something other than representative humans, I'd be watching movie stars or Kim Kardashian or Chris Hemsworth. For me, it's gotten to the point where beauty as a casting prerequisite has tainted the series and its supposed values...and makes it seem more and more fictional and less and less involving. The choosing-the-beautiful thing has gotten so out of hand, it's become instrusive, for me. Lately it seems like more and more of the shots/angles are selected to call attention to the vets' looks than the shows' content. Not saying beautiful people should not be cast, but that for me, it would be infinitely more watchable if the casting were based solely on less superficial values, so I didn't feel like I was watching the equivalent of visual clickbait, and was instead watching vets selected solely based on all the other skills and values necessary for a vet who needs to be able to communicate and "work" for video. I realize I'm probably one of a tiny minority, and that you can easily do without us...and I will miss the show I started loving before it looked like a mixed gender beauty pageant, but I sure wish you'd consider unloading the dice, and cast great vets who can be great on video without being, with token exceptions, Hollywood material.

Wouldn't the anesthesia affect the development of the embryos? We wouldn't put a human under anesthesia to check the maturity of the fetus. I disagree with putting her under to satisfy curiosity. We don't know what the long-term effect will have on the development of those babies. They're only now finding that acetaminophen taken by pregnant mothers may cause ADHD in development. How much more so with anesthesia?
