That brings back memories of putting hay in the mow, baled and loose hay.

I am from New Zealand. We do hay slightly different. We call man portable bales "conventional" as opposed to the big sqares and round bales that require a tractor to more them. We hand stack conventional bales in the hay shed. The elevators we use are all smaller and use a single banger petrol engine. This is the first pto elevator I have seen. We hand stack on the truck/trailer as well. In hill country we don't use hay trailers hitched to the baler as it is to steep and dangerous. Often we put the hayshed in the hay paddock some we can simply sweep the hay bales to the shed.

elevator was powered by electric motor, originally used for grain

Good save on the clog man! That's a very nice elevator, I love New Idea products. Beautiful calves as well. Keep up the good work!

with the tractor powering the elevator it can make a real mess in a hurry and not even slow down.

That’s a nice setup. I’d like to have that barn to store squares in my self. Nice video thanks for sharing 👍🏻

the shoot from the wagon to the elevator and the kicker in the haymow really helps one guy put up a lot of hay
