Or you could use what's called pixel bining where it groups multiple pixels from the sensor to receive more light for low light shots, also the point of a phone is to be the only device that's why they keep on getting faster and better every year. If a phone can replace a camera there is no need to buy one if the phone can have the quality that is on par with a DSLR. Some stuff is marketing for the time being such as 5G but for the most part, it's stuff that you think you won't need now but in the future it will be something you wouldn't want to give up.

@@beni2cc high mp doesn't mean better image quality , there are more important things like software and size of sensor , 12MP big sensor with excellent image processing will give better results than 64MP one , smartphone can replace a compact camera but not high end models

@@wouterdehaut337 it's important for gaming devices that's why that kinda companies required for snapdragon 855. Higher frequency dramatically improves performance on smartphones it's not pc . Frequency is everything. It doesn't matter how powerful the gpu or cpu structure is. Frequency determines the performance on smartphones I'm personally a fan of high frequency clocks on smartphone soc.

@@alonterang7 Apple's processor are far ahead than competition is because of the iOS's great CPU and RAM management. An A13 Bionic will probably have the same performance as the 855 if it's running an Android.

For the same reason iPhone is unable to run android 4 fast enough to be usable.
