I look at it less as a “thank goodness”…in some situations where someone does something stupid, or endangers others, I see ‘no one was hurt’ and can’t help but think - “darn…” Like when you see someone creating a MASSIVE cloud of tyre smoke and tear off…there’s that part of you that wants to hear the CRUNCH as they lose control and go into a tree or something…

The look of confusion and betrayal on the kitten’s face! Kinda like my cat when I had to yank him away from a falling box via his tail (split second choice: grab his tail or let him get hurt). I felt bad about hurting him, but explained that a sore tail and being mad at me was far better than him being injured by falling books
