My 7 year old niece has cancer, and was singing and dancing to this tonight. I lost it, but I have faith if anyone can beat it, she can!

My mom loved this song, she faught cancer, diabetes and finally covid. She faught hard and lived a beautiful life. I miss you mom. This one's for you ❤

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. Dear Rachel, Im inside my room right now, its all depressingly dark and hopeless, Im all in tears and maybe God has a purpose that your song randomly played. The lyrics is so magical that it seems they're talking to me not to give up. I am bullied, i have a terrible long face that everyone makes fun of me... I feel ugly everyday but I realized that I have a "life" and reality to face in. It inspire mo to don't give a damn and continue living no matter what.... I was in a mental hospital for children under 18 suffering depression, committed suicidal attempts, selfharm and other mental health disorders. I remember we all sang this song out loud sometimes, and that memory always makes me smile. It's a beautiful and positive song, and I still love it!

Over the last few years of my life, I’ve been undergoing leg surgery after leg surgery, the pain was excruciating and unbearable, the therapy to walk again after those surgeries were even harder. However this song, was my favorite. It made that pain bearable and it set the foundation for who I am. I have way more to go and rehearing this song brings so much nostalgia from my those days of suffering which are not over. So I must thank you Rachel. When I was 16, after 10 years of compulsory public education, I watched a couple of friends leave to further their tertiary educations overseas, while I could only get a local polytechnic diploma. 2-3 years after that, I watch more friends walk proudly into various local universities, while my educational journey came to an end. I came from a poor family and my father could only send me for basic education and nothing more as I had 3 younger siblings who were still schooling. After 3 years in the military, I began working and became the family bread winner. I never stopped working for almost 25 years and slowly climbed up the career ladder. A few years ago, I hear this song and it struck a cord in me. I decided it was time. I enrolled in graduate school at 45. Next to the lecturer, I was the oldest person in class. Everywhere I went on campus, I stood out like a sore thumb. Everyone was on laptops and tablets, while I was on books, papers and pencils. But I didn't give up, I kept turning to this song to keep me going. THIS was MY fight song. I struggled hard but help soon came. Classmates half my age who once spurred the 'old dude' from groups in class, turned to me for life advice and in turn, helped me navigate the digital world and gadgets and online submissions. I still turned to this song to keep the fire going when I wanted to give up. I graduated last year, ahead of schedule, 4 years out of a 5 year part time degree programme. My parents couldn't make it as they were too frail. There was no one in the audience clapping for a 49 year old graduate. But I was proud. I had made it. And this song was one of those songs that just kept me telling myself ... I can do this!

I remember a little girl sang this song during my local elementary school’s talent show. She had cancer for three years before this and passed away two years later. She truly was the most fearless and powerful girl ever.

Music. certain songs have gotten me through the ups and downs, emotionally and mentally thank Rachel Platten for this song -this song has been going for few years now but it came in to my life as when I believe when I needed it to hear in the right way and the right time love when music does this just hits you in specific way it can bring lumps to your throat and feel waves of emotion 💓🎶

I met my friend for the first time when he was only 5weeks old.when i saw him i just knew an great adventure was going to happen and he became my best friend.he sadly passed away in 2022.he was my jack Russell .his name was Milo 17 yrs old and he was my favourite hello but my hardest goodbye.i still visit his grave everyday in my backyard.he died of cancer and he was a fighter🐕🚶

This makes me cry every time I hear it my best friend Gavin was diagnosed with Cancer. He was so kind and loving. He had his whole life ahead of him But this took it all away from him. He played so many sports and he was so loved by me and everyone around him. He had a tumor in his brain they found cancer in the tumor he lived with cancer for 1 and a half years it got really bad but than he got better, he was so close to coming out of the hospital but from there it all went down hill. My mom has cancer and currently has covid. Her fever is 104.9, but her o2 is good, so the dr doesn't want her to go to the er. We can see a new lump in her throat, but she can't get any kind of scan until she tests negative. She's on day 5 of Covid and still testing positive, but the lump is growing fast. I believe in the power of prayer and healing. If you do, too, would you please say a prayer for my mama? Her name is Lynn. She's a wife, a mother, a grandma, and a friend to SO many people. She has been a volunteer for multiple charities, one year for Mother's Day - all she wanted was for us to go with her to help clean up tornado debri and help people find their pets and dig out anything salvageable. We came home feeling very fortunate for what we had. We aren't rich, but we have a good mom. My kids have an amazing grandma, and that is better than anything money can buy. It would devastate our family to lose our rock 😭

My dad is 75, and my best friend. I didn't get the chance to have him in my life until i was 14. I'm almost 39 now, and i couldn't imagine a better man to be my dad! We just found out last week that he's got a mass growing in his chest, and the "spots" he's had on his lungs and kidneys and adrenal glands have grown significantly in the last 3 months. We haven't gotten results yet, but I'm preparing myself for the worst news. He's got a biopsy on Wednesday. I can't imagine my life without my dad in it. I'm really praying for a miracle, that they were wrong or something. My dads life goal has been to live to be 140 yrs old! He wants to see my babies grow up! My oldest just turned 18, but my youngest is only 2. The thought that she'll never remember the love of Butch Clock just devastates me. She's so special to him, but she might never even remember that. Ugh. I hate it!
