I honestly can’t picture tennis when he retires, not only is he the greatest tennis player I’ve ever seen but probably the greatest sportsman of all time
@terryevp40844 роки тому
Well said George. He is the best in the business and very humble person. Rafa is a role model for everyone.

People come and go. They are ephemeral, tennis is only constant and the beauty of our sport is that every generation has its share of great players and definitely future will have many more great players. The eternal rigmarole marches relentlessly forward.

Beautiful body. Rafa is like a boxer, sparring and preparing before the fight. Dancing, jumping and preparing muscles. New York loves him because they like to see a fighter, sweating and not giving up in adverse conditions. Nole and Roger are different players. Great but different. Rafa is a show.
@rajarshighosh48214 роки тому
Knowing rafa's hunger for success, he will be targeting the Australian Open. He has been so close and yet so far from winning the AO. I know he has won it once but he would want to win it multiple times.
@bapyongukgukguk23524 роки тому
He can do it
@susruta254 роки тому
2014 and 2017 losses at AO must hurt more than 2012 and 2019. Those 2 were golden chances.Rafa should have tried harder to make them happen. Now though Rafa will need a favorable draw to win AO. If Novak is at his best level at AO , difficult to see Rafa winning the title. Rafa atleast has a chance with Fed in AO even though it will be difficult due to low bounce and faster courts but with Novak in peak form at AO its not possible. The pattern of play at AO as seen in 2019 simply doesn't match up. Some one needs to take out Novak.
@rajarshighosh48214 роки тому
@@susruta25 i think with age he has lost a bit of that mental edge. His recent performances against djokovic and federer in slams outside of French Open have been disappointing. The 2018 Wimbledon was there for him to win but he messed it up just like federer messed up 2019 Wimbledon. But going forward scheduling will be key for nadal. If he can pick the right tournaments and come in injury free, he will have a chance.
@susruta254 роки тому
@@rajarshighosh4821 Agree, 2018 Wimbledon was another episode which though doesn't hurt so much personally to me being a Rafa fan. Ofcourse it was tough loss for team Nadal. He was clearly the better player in that match except service department where Novak got lots free point. In AO he needs to play more flatter. With the amount of top spin he gives in AO court people have too much time to hit back.
@andrijakovac23354 роки тому
He didnt have luck in AO many times,he should have it more,2014 injury in final against wawrinka,2012 and 2017 five sets match,but he still can win and he he will go for it,he played final last year,took us open now soo WHY NOT Rafaaa

I remember once Paul Annaconne said that the key to Nadal's win is that he has to have an intense warm up both on court and in the locker room. Nadal has already been hitting balls and doing calisthenics right before match. Such intensity is critical for his win on the court. He is such an amazing athlete.

I hope Rafa ends up with a few more US opens & ends up with the all time USO title record. That'd make him holding the GS record in 2 Slams. Novak & Federer would only have 1 each. Currently he's on 4, the open era record is 5. If he wins 2 more, he'll surpass Federer's record in the US Open.
