THis is old I suspect because I'm having to use edit /etc/ dhcpcd.conf and Its differenct. Now I'm confused. oh boy...

Hi , thanks but did not work. A few comments Why do I need to confgire dnsname server, if it's a static ip? Do i need to have access to the WWW to change to a static IP? Dont understand why.

DNS may help you resolve DNS names if you need connectivity to the internet. If you don't need connectivity to the internet then I would accept you do not need to configure DNS
