According to my mother, when I was born, she was told to push to break her water. My head came with it. Evidently, I was born so quickly that the doctor didn't have time to scrub up and delivered me while wearing a kashmir sweater. In my mother's words "he didn't deliver you, all he did was catch." Due to the fact that I was my mother's first child and quickness of my birth, I dropped down my mother's bladder and tore stuff on the way out. She delivered me with no painkillers of any kind (and repeated this 13 months later with my brother). After my birth she had to be "sewn back up" and was biting her hand. The hand my father decided to hold. Obviously, my mother bit him as she was, y'know, being sewn up after pushing a whole ass human out of her with no painkillers, and not exactly paying attention to which hand my father was holding. Wanna guess what my father brings up every time my birth is referenced? "Your mom bit me!" He has done this for 35 years now. My parents are still married.

Oh my God! In the first few minutes of the video, I couldn't tell who was Jess and who wasn't Jess. They started looking too similar to each other :))) But both are beautiful (and you are beautiful too, of course). The baby is cute too))

The most important statement about having a baby - ‘if you know you’re about to have to take care of a baby, take care of yourself first’. If the nursery is unfinished, it’s okay. If family is being pushy tell them to leave. No point in stressing yourself out beforehand more than you already are!

Oh my gosh, George’s compliment and then all three of you telling him good job just made my day. That was so incredibly precious!!

A friend of mine was a midwife for years and she got her phd while serving active duty in the us marines (wwii vet, wounded pow in Vietnam) so when she was home she was birthing and helping to birth others’ babies. Midwives don’t get enough credit with how much work they do. Baby George is so cute with his little squaks 😂love it.

I love Alissa just being a great aunt in the background the whole time while they’re talking.

My two sons came so quick that they didn’t have time to give my wife any epidurals for both babies! She was a real trooper, especially our second son he was 10 pounds!

I love how casually Kris is just dyeing Jess's hair. Also the pride in Alissa's face when Kris says "flipping, flopping baby" instead of cussing was adorable. #1 is automatically the scallywag just from the title. i've had 2 kids AND chronic tooth pain and only one of those was so bad i was LITERALLY SCREAMING and required ACTUAL FENTANYL to dull (not even eliminate, just dull!) the pain. also for the curious, most of my contractions, especially the early ones, felt like an intestinal cramp, like the kind you get when you're lactose intolerant and you just ate a huge bowl of mac & cheese. those were the "ow... ssss... okay it's gone" kind. the next stage was like really intense period cramps, very much the paul rudd "OH SHIT... i'm okay" gif. but the bad ones... the ones they call TRANSITIONAL LABOR... those felt like being punched in the cervix by a fistful of rusty hunting knives. it literally felt like i was being torn apart from the inside out. then there's THE RING OF FIRE and let me tell you, that name is a EUPHEMISM. and as a reminder, i have had chronic toothaches. i have had tooth decay so bad that the entire pulp is just hollowed out and the space where a tooth used to be is gradually being reclaimed by my gums. i have had MULTIPLE abscesses that made me look like i had the mumps. when a woman tells you that childbirth is the worst pain IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, *BELIEVE HER.* #2 based on the title alone, NTA. of course your wife's not your dream girl, dream girls AREN'T REAL. ...ohhhhh nevermind it's so much worse. that's not "i said my wife wasn't my dream girl," that's "i'd rather have sex with this REAL PERSON THAT I KNOW AND SEE ON A REGULAR BASIS than my wife." whaaaaaat the fuck is wrong with that guy. i appreciate that every woman in that room physically recoiled from reading/hearing that sentence though. #3 "it's ONLY money"? yeah, money SHE DOESN'T HAVE. istg i have heard too many people thinking you can just magic money out of thin air. is this how people live? do they just put everything on credit cards because "it's only money"? i lost count of numbers but the nude model is not the a-hole. when i was fresh out of college i had a long-term boyfriend and our mutual friends were also a couple, and the girl in the couple was both an art major and bi. she asked me if i would pose nude for one of her assignments and even though my face was 16 different shades of red, i did it. nobody got jealous, there were no shenanigans, and there was nothing sexual about any of it. nobody was trying to "steal" anyone's partner, it was an artistic study of the human body just like the photo shoots OP does. the fact that the boyfriend was already acquainted with photographers who took those photos means in all likelihood he's been on some nude photography shoot sets himself, if not TAKEN some himself. the girlfriend is just petty, insecure and jealous.
