Regarding fetch, Next.js does have a user space implementation right? I remember seeing it on the code base. With a comment that pointed to the original React impl

Yeah when he starts to test number of calls, the fetch cache executes the call still, but instead of flying the network request, it reads it from memory. Should have activated fetch logging in next config to see fetch cache HIT and MISS

Also dedupe is great, but not correct either... Cache here means store computation, be it a network call or a function execution. That's how we can share data between server components.

I'm confused about the last part about getting a high-paying role at a us comp from eu thing. what do you mean by "make yourself valuable enough to the company"? I really don't understand that. anyone can code, think through a problem or read the docs. the only real hard thing is experience, and by that, I mean things that aren't in a book or a doc. that is who you know, seeing trends, and the small details of an operation. this is especially true now thait'sts becoming more accessible to get leads on public info through ai. it feels like the only value you can have, especially early on, is that you do the annoying parts for them so they can focus on something else. and just be around long enough so you know something interesting. IDK, maybe I'm wrong, never had a job that wasn't like that.
