It's not the first time I've come across scuffed badges on the steering wheel of cars. Most often, for some reason, it is the Japanese: Honda, Mazda, Toyota. My Honda FR-V has not escaped a similar fate.
The logo itself is plastic, it is covered with a thin layer of chrome and lacquer on top. They say that problems start if you wipe the steering wheel with wet wipes (but it is not sure).
Well, our task today is simple (actually it is not). Remove the old badge and put a new one in its place. I bought a Chinese substitute. If you order it on Aliexpress, the price is about 3-4$, in Poland it is more expensive, about 10$, but delivery next day. And to replace it I had to dismantle the airbag, disassemble it, saw out the fasteners and then put everything back together. It seems to be not difficult, but without tools and skills you can ruin everything.
