He’s talked about his distaste for cancel culture before, but he’s definitely not immune to it. The Golden Globes could stop hosting him because people found him too objectionable or offensive, and people could boycott his movies and shows as well. A lower level... Seriously, British humor has historically been absurdist. Slapstick, men in women's clothing, over-the-top situations. The biting sarcastic stuff is recent, and lifted from other sources. You can get sued for saying things like that in the UK.
