Mary J is one of those emotional invoking artist, Lauryn Hill just to name a few. Each artist is unique unto themselves and there's alot of'em out there but not many that can jerk them tears like them ole gospel singers did. You maybe able to sing the entire major and minor scales, but if not with passion what does it profit, it's just a beautiful voice. This is what I seek in performances, somebody who can make me feel it and I don't care if you can only sing two notes. Its a rare thing these days. It maybe a simple score of music, but look what was done with as some have said these uncomplex simple chords. Many are called, but few are chosen. Sis, you rocked it and the ad libs was what I sought from you in this piece and you worked it! Cheers me love! Mary J is one of the Queens of ad lib and it is not easy to do straying from the current and yet staying with the current. This is one thing that those who started in the church learned from the get!
