“The film follows my own story and that of young women who are trying to change the singular narrative that women can only function in domestic roles. Though the tide has been slowly shifting it’s limited to opportunities that women can access and there is always a glass ceiling that can’t be passed.
The film talks about certain narratives and customs that have constrained women’s ability to make decisions for themselves, their voice in the community, the right to own property and have aspirations for their futures. The film seeks to give hope and grow the voices of our young women in my community.”
