If stl had replaced Vrana with an nhl winger (even just replacement level) early in the season then they’re in the playoffs and not near last in 5v5 scoring. Instead, it forced guys like Kyrou into 22-24 min a night, an amount of icetime that is detrimental to Kyrou’s skillset that requires bursts of energy. Having the stl org lead in wjc scoring = too much firepower in non-nhl leagues. I hope ownership and the gm understand that there is a quantity of a certain quality/age of skater that kinda has to be met, and there is an amount of relying on your depth chart that holds all these guys back.
