It looks nice, other than the absolutely terrible and distracting "ROG FLOW" lettering below the screen, that needs to go or be a dark grey or emobossed or something. Will it come off with a bit of rubbing alcohol, without damaging the casing?

The only issue i had with the flow x 13 is that the paint comes off very easily and it was buggy initially and the asus pen cant be used efficiently because of the palm rejection issues..

Lo unico malo que veo con la Flow X13 es su puerto de Nvme que es un bien chiquito y no el normal que nos daria mejor accseo para hacerle un upgrade mas adelante. Si hicieron un Flow X14 seria paja.

se ve bien! siempre me pareció una idea genial poner la grafica dedicada de forma externa en el caso de las notebook´s, me parece lo mas sano para el hardware. también estaría bueno que saquen cosas dedicadas a la minería así dejan de acaparar las graficas volviendolas impagables para el usuario promedio. Es muy doloroso ver una granja de graficas de esto 🥲

Agreed, wish they'd do a more professional edition version of this, so more emphasis on the CPU and less on the on board GPU to balance cost, as when I'd need the GPU I'd plug it in anyway... I'd prefer a 12th gen i9 or a ryzen 9 and just a mediocre on board Radeon or an rtx 1050, then an external rtx1080 or beefier Radeon. The 2022 all AMD one coming soon seems like they are going that way, has a Ryzen 9 a Vega onboard and an rx6800 of some kind for the external, that seems to make sense if it can then use the AMD memory sharing tech between all components.

Do this, but make it look more premium and subtle to suit the sort of people who can actually afford it. I'd buy one immediately if i could take it to do my site surveys and begin design projects with customers without looking like a man child, then actually be one in my own privacy.... And do a few different sizes... Win. Didn't realise you'd already heard me about saving money on the onboard GPU and focussing on the CPU instead, I want the CPU for mobile, the GPU for when plugged in, so I'm definitely excited about this newer model. I assume the all AMD choice allows the AMD fancy memory sharing thingy across the external GPU.

bro, this is not Intel platform.. bcs Intel doesn't allow thunderbolt on AMD platform... maybe AMD uses USB4 (as you know, they also use USB C(4) for those external gpu)

It's only slightly proprietary, as it's really just USB 3 (or 4) and OCuLink. As for why? You do know that Thunderbolt 4 doesn't have enough bandwidth to properly support external GPUs, even mobile ones?

@@tams805 Nop, did not know that... I've seen some tests with TB external eGPU's and it's always 10-20% slower then internal GPUS, I guess it's due to the bandwidth issue your talking about. So, does this ROG chunky connector have superior bandwidth compared to thunderbolt? How fast is it?

This proprietary connector is around 63gbps. Thunderbolt is around 40gbps.

This is a thin and light convertible, you know for doing stuff on the go, e.g. on aeroplanes, going to meetings etc. You then have the external GPU and larger screen on your desk. Although the eGPU is also portable, so you can bring it to another house/office with a larger monitor or TV there ...
