This feels like the kind of thing where a boomer says that they made "real" music back in their day, and everything that comes after it is garbage. Completely disregarding tens of thousands of brilliant albums and good music. There are plenty of amazing comedians of "today". The sketch is so good because - obviously Rowan Atkinson is brilliant - Elton John plays his part so very well. Some of the looks and stares he gives Atkinson, and his looks aside to the audience are quite superb.
