Este glaciar no está en peligro de retroceso. El funcionamiento del perito moreno es diferente a los demás y lleva funcionando igual desde la era glaciar. Al ser atravesado por un río, este provoca desprendimientos a lo largo del recorrido, formando un túnel natural que luego termina por colapsar cada 3 o 4 años, dando lugar a que el glaciar se corra de nuevo para sellar la grieta y así comienza de nuevo el siclo. Es por eso que es un espectáculo único en el planeta y está clasificado como patrimonio de la humanidad desde 1980 por la unesco. Saludos campeón!
