Its amazing how in only 10 minutes of the episode John Oliver was able to establish Ilgar as the rightful legend that he is and having this beautiful happy ending was such a satisfying an emotional pay off that most movies Ive seen in my life could not achieve on such a high level in over one and a half hours of runtime...well done!

Not at the horrible deaths, but a the poorly English talking man standing and getting a minute of fame. Azerbaijan is quite a troubled country, I am sure this move was an unbelievable highlight for him.

I have another question. Why do they also call prisons "correctional facilities " ? If the goal is to "correct" how do we allow executions in the first place ? There are people in these prisons on "death row" for so many years , many have become other people. No comparison to the person who comitted the crime in the first place. Waiting for years to be executed is severe in itself. We cannot have killers running around loose and unpunished but becoming inhumane is not a good way to minimise this behaviour. Not enough is being done to prevent it in the first place.....The US can start by regulating gun control or abolishing gun sales altogether..... Is that too radical ???

Thanks for the dogs slow motion videos. My dog died a week ago. He was only 11 years old and looked so healthy and active.

So John managed to track down a Stock Photo Model from Azerbaijan and bring him to the US, just so he can shake hands with him, but be can't get Clarence Thomas to quit the Supreme Court for $1m a year for life, and a $3m motor home? Sad...
