Ferrari won't let Charles go. not yet atleast.

Leclerc is not the faster driver. He can be faster sometimes and viceversa. But Leclerc is highly overrated. He's good, ok. But not good enough to be elated as he usually is.

I think we can’t say sainz is much better after one race, Charles is still much better statistically. I don’t think Carlos should go at all, he’s phenomenal, but I think Charles and Carlos are pretty similar even if Leclerc has the edge on him

I disagree. I think Lec woes are mostly out of his hands. I think he is the better driver not hating on Sainz who is doing great but Lec will come back at him, like he did last year after Monza and Singapore where Sainz was the better driver and then Lec went on like a 8 race in a row beating on Sainz. I agree with the Ham thing and yes PR and stock reasons, but they wont gel as much and not sure at this point in Ham career if he is as solid of a driver as Sainz is, sure this is recency bias but still makes you think they should have never dropped Sainz at all from a performance on track perspective.

The only way Sainz ever finishes above Lec over a full year is with things like DNFs from engine failures and other things out of Lec's hands. Never due to pure pace. Just because Sainz has finally caught Lec and is beating him on pure pace from time to time does not mean he's a better driver. Means he's finally arrived as a true top teammate, where before it was Lec alone at the top.

@@David_james77 That is so not true, you are crazy. He was ahead because he was faster. He also had a DNF from 3rd place in the first GP so that's another 15 pts he would have had over Carlos. He only beat Lec in the first season cuz the car was trash and had reliability issues. If Lec and Sainz were on even terms Lec always was beating Sainz in 2021, 2022, and half of 2023. It is only recently that Sainz has been able to beat Lec on even terms and pure pace.

@@John333Scout Leclerc is a better qualifier and Carlos a more consistent racer. You can’t get make excuses based on DNF because Carlos currently has 10 DNFs in Ferrari and Charles 8 since 2021. What I’m more stunned is that despite that, and Ferrari’s tactics to prioritize Leclerc as a #1 driver he has not consistently proven that. In fact, he only leads Sainz in podiums 17-16 and they are both tied in wins in the same period. In fact, last time Leclerc got a win was 2 years ago.

Rubbish. Leclerc bins the car with alarming regularity, unforced errors. Carlos is more complete, calm in a crisis and brings it home in one piece! Very fast too and good at overtakes. Saint is an excellent driver and deserves more success.

Entering his prime more than 6 years in F1. It took Hamilton the second year to be a champion. Almost won in his rookie year. Mercedes a German team doesn't want to be seen as the one that destroyed MSC record. We know and Hamilton knows too. Hamilton in that Ferrari would be sensational.

So you know that the temp of that brake was not higher than normal after less than 1 lap. Max complained that the car was loose at the end. I am glad that Carlos won, eventhough i am a Dutchman.
