I was that person that you speak of until I snapped out of it. After 9 years with apple, I now own the galaxy z fold 4 and it's great device.

Because they are brainwashed to thinking if u have 1 then they are better than the other phone user , when in fact, it does the same thing as other brands

It's technology is useless Samsung copy apple technology Samsung does not spend research and development while apple spend huge eg like face id of apple fast and secure in night also while Samsung or android phone fail face id in night

With 2-fold the video size at full screen barely increases since it's usually 16:9 With 3 or even 4 folds though, that actually makes a difference and makes the video much bigger

True. I am shocked. When you tell them about Samsung's innovation, they dismiss it as gimmicky. Yet, when apple copies it, they believe that apple came up with the concept. That's why I always inform apple fans when their phones copied Samsung's technology.

not true. I was into a lot of Apple products almost exclusively a few years ago, but not a fanboy. - iPhone, iPad, iMac, Apple tv, Apple Watch, Airport, buds and massive iTunes library. I've gradually replaced all of that with Samsung, Microsoft, Phillips, Bose and other offerings and now only have two Macbooks which i have not either used in over a year. I'm a fan of tech, not corporations, and what did it for me was seeing Apple's often but very subtle anti-consumerism and lack in innovations. - got sick of being restricted to .mv4 format and held into iTunes and wanting to play .MKV on other devices without authenticating so I gradually migrated to the agnostic format which allowed me to play all my media on any devices - got tired of the limitations, monopoly and gate keeping of the App store on the ipad Pro and thus got a Surface Pro 9 5G (Still horrible in some places but I value the freedom of a more "open" OS) - got rid of my iPad Pro for a Surface Pro as aforementioned but also because it is hamstrung by an iPhone OS - iOS (iPadOS is just marketing) - Bose QC2 is far better at higher noise cancelling and base. - Don't need Apple tv anymore because we have smart tvs with their own OS and I tend to stream from my own local digital collection of media. - Was never big into phones and have alternated between Android and iPhones for years, but eventually have settled on to a Galaxy Z Fold 3/4 because of the more openess and flexibility of Android compared to iOS. I can download and install what I want on Android for the most part and have more control over it. So as long as competition continues to innovate it does get through even the most invested of Apple users.

Honestly I don't give a shit about any phone company. I just buy whichever one is best value of money

I love Samsung devices, but if Apple comes up with something similar and at a price 2 times cheaper, then it will kill Samsung, because I do not agree to pay for the Galaxy FOLD 4 2000 $...

Let’s talk about it in a year and 5 months. Your battery will be bad, the phone will be slow. Just like typical bad samsung phones. I hate when people make reviews like „1 Week later“ „1 month later“. I wanna know how it is after 2 years.

same I have fold 3. I really don't like small display now. Fold is so much bigger.

Traded in my fold 4 for the 5 because of the hinge but my fold 4 was pristine even after a year. People need to learn to look after them properly.

That's why I pay for fold. I use it for 3 years get the new fold 5 because I like the tablet but use it far less then a phone screen. I like the bigger screen when I need it. Two devices in one. I'd pay premium for 3 in 1 that's a little bigger then fold in my pocket like trifold.

eh...I had a Z Fold 3 and upgraded to a Z fold 4, they are good and I couldn't go back to a regular sized phone anymore, but Samsung is resting on its laurels because there are other foldables that have the Z Fold beat in almost every department. Only reason why they are not as popular as the Z Fold series is because Samsung is the most recognized with them being the earliest on the market and because alternatives like Vivo, Xiami, Mimo etc.. are not as readily available for purchase in the United States, though they are increasingly becoming more popular in Asia.

I was looking at other foldable phones on UKposts reviews that aren't all readily available. I decided to look at buying the z fold 5 when it comes out. My z fold 3 is reliable. Only had protective screen replaced. I get good customer support with Samsung

I'm in the market for a foldable phone. Do you have inner screen issues with yours by any chance? Many people i've met with a z fold have screen cracked and dead pixels.

@@brandonsyatessr.3667 Samsung ought to just combine a Samsung note with a Z Fold like they did the S series and Note series. It has the aspect ratio fans want, pen want and can fold out into a bigger tablet.

Saw a different video that show G folding inward and outward. Giving you the option to have a display outside or all displays hidden inside.

Apple have a lot of money to and they are just removeing thinks and put old chip in new iphone and 60fps

Soonest I'd put it would be 2024, but I would give it time to perfect it so they don't pull another Z Fold disaster. Maybe 2025 they could perfect the devices for mass production

I don't think so, it's probably the worst version of "small to big screen" tech. Zero protection of the screen, with foldable phones plastic screen protectors can still be on the inside and the phone folded over it protects the screen. Rollable screens require either motorized or sliding mechanisms. That takes up so much space so battery size won't be as big. Also an entire section of the phone will go back into the phone so any dust, lint and liquids would go with it causing bigger durability issues. Huawei already brought peak foldable phone tech and design it's almost as thin as an iPhone 14 pro max and still has water resistance, flex mode and capable cameras. Meanwhile Samsung is too comfortable releasing a Z fold 2 yearly. Don't let Samsung's laziness fool you. Chinese companies, especially Huawei already designed foldable hardware that people 4 years ago would've expected as the future smartphone.
