hi, there is a biase: zooming-in in post is not the same as zooming-in while taking the picture ! So you can't compare 5x on the Xiaomi vs 3x cropped to 5x on the Samsung (and vice versa). The reason is that when zooming digitally there is 2 lenses fusion made plus some processing, it's not just a crop ;) To make the comparison fare, you should take the picture at 5x on both the Samsung and the xiaomi and then compare.

lol what a bias comparison,you compare only one photo in each mode and you declare a winner all the comparison i have seen the s21 ultra wins in most if not all of the tests and no am don't have the s21 ultra i have the oneplus 8 pro

I like the stabilization on s21 ultra more than mi11 ultra. You did not notice the stuttering on mi11 ultra.

When it comes to zoom most fair comparison is to compare 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 9x, 10x, 20x, 30x. Because real differentiator todays is how phones handle non-native/non-optical (in-between) focal lengths. Also regarding zoom video if you switch MI 11 Ultra to 8K and zoom in you will get much better detail propably matching or getting close to S21 Ultra optical 10x video. :) Tested in MI 10 Ultra which has same 48MP telephoto camera as MI 11.

Something is very strange... The smallers UKpostsrs all over the world, that usually just get the new phones only months later after the launch, this time got the Mi 11 Ultra very early and are giving it great avaliations... While some of the biggest Tech UKpostsrs/reviewers in the world, got the Mi 11 Ultra very late and gave the victory to the S21 Ultra... Above everything i said... DxOMark put Mi 11 Ultra above every other phone, even with a pre release camera software when the Xiaomi had horrible results in every single review I had seen... Okay. Something is not right.

was watching on a 55" OLED LG CX and some categories and side by side examples was not near as clear for me to tell, I would say they pretty much trading blows in most areas. Just depends. Sadly there was no iPhone 12 pro max to see video difference

Nice comparison. I would have given the zoom to S21 as 3x to 4.9x (common zoom range) is much better on the s21ultra. Rest I agree with based on what was shown. Would have like to see some challenging HDR scenes. Also portrait mode I would give to s21 ultra when using 1x or 3x (based on other videos)

Why is it some people who review their Xiaomi either have worse cameras or better with different tints all together. It's like if people are getting a copy and and original device.

I'm So Confused, When You go and watch a Camera Comparison Between these 2 Phones , The Results are very different, Mr x Reviewer say "Mi 11 Ultra is better in these category or even overall" Mr Y Reviewer say "S21 ULTRA is better in these category and it's definitely a better phone" Mr Y Reviewer say "MI 11 ULTRA is just a samsung powered device and Xiaomi didn't do anything" I'm SO CONFUSED

Good morning everybody, this is the comparison type that makes no sense, as it is the personal preference of each youtuber. There are countless videos comparing s21 ultra, mi 11 ultra, 12 pro max, oneplus 9 pro, etc., and there is no winner. So, if you are looking for a smartphone, I think you better try the devices yourself and draw your own conclusions.

Если предположить, что исходники сделаны честно, то даже в таком случае отрыв шаоми минимален, скорее где-то туда плюс, где-то сюда плюс. Незначительное преимущество в части основного сенсора может быть при определённых условиях компенсировано использованием режима 108Мп. Однозначный плюс у шаоми - светосила и матрица ширика. Но зум точно лучше у самса. По итогу, я ни разу не видел чтобы софт у шаоми нормально поддерживался после выхода нового флагмана. А использовать аппарат за такую цену меньше пары лет я не готов.

Come on, the dynamic range on the samasung looking at the clouds is more detailed than any Xiaomi shots. No comparison. The scooter shots are sharper in the S21. Test 16 if you look at the buildings in front with then lights, the Xiaomi distorts it were the Samsung doesnt. Give me a break!!. Xiaomi is no better and it's just a wanna be S21 Ultra when I grow up! Oh and 8k.....those are useless recordings. You probably have the Exynos version also which stood up against the Chinese wanna be S21 Ultra and the SD 888 is much better.

The Xiaomi obviously has better sensors but seeing a lot of other reviews, it lacks software processing consistency. By taking so few samples you literally eradicated this issue and the perspective therefore became biased. I enjoyed your review but definitely didn't agree with the methodology that was used so I decided not to dislike it but rather to express some constructive criticism. Honestly, software updates might help the Xiaomi in the future but the same can be said about the Samsung. Nevertheless, I'd leave it at that - Xiaomi did brilliantly with this phone but they're not quite there yet, at least camera-wise. By the way, it's nice seeing such high quality content being produced here in Bulgaria. Keep it up!

There was one big problem with Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in Ukraine - it was not available in official local stores! In not authorized store it cost more than Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and even now it costs more than Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I think the price is radicular high!

Overall video quality has been improved than last one (*this compliment for this comparison*) Both device's daylight video performance was lit, I think Snapdragon's 'AI' is seems to be better than Exynos. And thanks for adding 'an object' :xD. If possible, show us how quickly device can focus while taking 'filmi shots' also while taking photos with tapping on object (does 'tap to focus' really make any difference while taking portrait shorts ? ) Lots of love from India, West Bengal. 🤗

Doesn't matter , third party camera apps still suck. I'm talking about Instagram / Snapchat / Tiktok / FilmicPro even videocalls. Even ifnyou upload from Gallery into Stories , videos look lower quality than iPhone

I'd have to say thy s21 ultra but the mi doesn't fall short still need ways to go.(it may take some better photos video in some situations but against the snapdragon s21 ultra it does not come close)oh and the one plus pro did not do better then the S21 Ultra.. Sorry mate... Not sorry 😂

Mi fan boy spotted. Just 1 photo to declare who takes the better photo in that department??? Really?? The samsumg has better human skin tones. It has 3x optical portrait mode. It has better dynamic range in video. And so on. The mi has yellowish tint and so on. So disappointed of this video. At least compare it with bit more photos so that we can decide which one is better.

I see you referring in the comments to DxOMark a lot, so how would you justify that the "best" phone camera (mi11 ultra) loses in a lot of photos to a phone that is not in the top 10 smartphone cameras on DxOMark. Simple, DxO is pushing Chinese brads a lot and you as a smartphone reviewer should notice that, so disappointed...

Have both and are dissapointed with Xiaomi. Review doesnt mention consistancy of photos, white balance accuracy or ocassional clipped highlights. Zoom in general is much worse on Xiaomi. As of current software Samsung is better. But I keep xiaomi because it has great potential and after updates might become a better device

Foto 2: O objeto, no caso o patinete, no S21 está bem focado, cheio de detalhes na base, nas rodas, no descanso... inclusive observe a nitidez e o nivel de detalhes no chão do S21.... agora o foco do Mi 11 Ultra, bem não sei onde está, se é que está??? Outra coisa... olhe o tom amarelado por toda foto no Xiaomi... já no S21 o preto é profundo... me surpreende nesta foto você dizer que prefere o 11 Ultra... muito questionavel sua preferencia. * Ultrawide Na foto inteira, aos 4:30, antes de você ampliar rapidamente pra sair dela, é inegavel a superioridade da imagem do S21... olhe o menino na bicicleta, olhe o carro vermelho, olhe as placas Roadhouse Grill e Holiday Inn... olhe o chão... tudo em foco... no Mi 11 Ultra tá tudo fora de foco. The colors are better on the s21 thats why a lot of people would choose s21 but the mi11 ultra has more realistic looks and shoots similar to dslr camera. So next time you compare do it with the normal people's pov and not a professional photographer because normal people cant understand what a photographer wants.

There were many instances where the S21U was better, you zoomed into certain spots that looked better on the Mi11U when the S21U has more detail. Lots of questionable pics. I tested both phones last week, for me mi 11 ultra had the worst pink looking skin tones in portraits and over saturated colours and in video, mi 11 ultra's video had stuttering which only mid range phones do. S21 ultra had much better video and had better photos. Mi 11 ultra only had a little better night mode photos but overall s21 ultra was better. And when it comes to ui, miui sucks

Loving the MI 11 Ultra. The camera is great and will continue to improve with software updates. With the brighter display, much faster charging speeds, and ability to use the rear cameras for selfies, this seems to be the better choice over the S21 Ultra. Thanks for the great review.
