This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. ukposts.infoUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it

Been using this phone for 9 months as well and I can't imagine going back to a regular style phone! Yeah the battery could be better, and I wish the s pen was included but still overall such a fun phone to use, even 9 months later..

@@johnnorton3016 I'm getting around 7hours of screen on time. I'm not a heavy user. I also have a fast charger in my car, and a wireless charger in my office at work so I'm not usually worried about it depleting. I understand that's not the case for everyone though and you might want a power bank to carry around if you're a heavy user.

I have my zfold 3 for around 7 months, and i'm absolutely happy with it! Maybe it's a little bit tedious to type on the outer screen since i have big hands, but it's not a deal breaker by any means, it's the best phone i ever had.

It's the best phone so far and fun to use, but only for temporary use, since its really fragile on screen, samsung should take note on this more, only rich people buy this and get replace the screen over time, to replace about 400usd or more

Watching this on my the Z Fold3 that I've been using for 9 months now. I really enjoy using it in all aspects. No issues at all. I can't think of myself going back to normal flat phone at all. Agree. I jumped on a deal T-Mobile was offering on a trade-in for $1000 off so I traded in my Note 10+ and got the Z Fold 3 for $800 net. Totally no regrets and at the same time I got a used Z Flip off eBay for $500 for my other line and don't see myself ever going back to a candy bar phone. All the extra productivity uses alone make these models worthwhile if you're a heavy user. Very cool tech and so glad I made the jump.

Great... But why the Z Flip as well though... The FOLD 3 is plenty big enough and can be quite overwhelming for some already... So I don't get the need for a secondary foldable device... Even though someone would argue that a flip is small when folded, hence complements the larger FOLD as a secondary device. But all that extra weight and consciousness?, Bruh, I'm surely gonna loose one in a train station, at the coffeeshop, barbershop or somewhere crazy. Lol

If I'm headed to a family event where I know I won't be on my phone nearly at all, the Fold feels kinda excessive to bring along whereas the Flip feels perfect to bring to things where I know my phone use won't be heavy

one of the things i learned using the z fold 3 was that in youtube on the candy bar mode, you can swipe up, starting with your finger on the video and it will make it full screen, no need to press the button, and doing the opposite will cause it to go to the smaller video. on the inner screen its the same thing, where the video is in the top left of the phone, and you swipe up anywhere in the video and it will maximize the video, absolute game changer.

Great review. I have a Fold 1 I've been using for almost 2 years and want a Fold 4, but know the Fold 3 will be cheaper when the Fold 4 comes out so I'll wait. I was thinking of getting a S22 Utra instead but I think I'll miss the Fold if I do. What do you think? I want the 3 for the outer bigger screen, waterproofing as well as no notch on the inside screen that the 1 has.

After Note20Ultra...I really enjoy my fold. Using it even unfolded is still fun and so comfortable. If I open it it always amazes me. Watching videos or movies is awesome. I have a beautiful silver one.

I was planning to get fold 4 jump from note 20 ultra 5g but biggest issue for me is lack of decent cameras while fold 3 used galaxy/note 10 cameras, while fold 4 will use s22 camera while galaxy 23 will get a bump to 200mp new camera

So I purchased the Z fold 3 just under a year ago, last week it developed the "Black line of Death". Why isn't there more discussion about this which is a massive design flaw in this model which should be highlighted resulting in a recall? On purchase the instructions and guidance state not to remove the inner screen protector BUT over time the material used becomes brittle and starts damaging the inner screen when pressed resulting in bubbling and eventual screen damage. The inner right-hand screen then ceases to respond to touch. This is a known issue that isn't but should be discussed and highlighted to protect potential buyers.

Mine broke on a strange way I saw it happening. Within my 9 month, I opened it, and I saw the bottom middle of the screen protector bubble up and started peeling of towards the top (only in the middle) when it reached the top, I closed it and opened ot again. And the middle of the screen had a black line of completely dead pixel and the "right screen" touch screen stopped working. It was a pain to get them to replace it but they did. (Even though I pay samsung care+). I use the $90 Supcase with the s-pen holder in the hinge protector.

I have the surface duo 2 (upgraded from the 1) and I love the 2 screen/tablet design. I went with that over the Fold as I was worried about the inner screen. Miss an outside screen but most of all SOFTWARE. It is so buggy at times that it is pushing me away from the device. Still no word on Android 12L for it and the camera is really subpar. With the Fold 4 looking like a little better aspect ratio and how your inner screen has held up, unless Microsoft did something CRAZY, I will likely be going Fold 4 or wait for the rumored rollable. I can't see myself going back to a traditional phone as I am a heavy phone user

Have you tried Gcam? It really improves the camera on the Duo 2. I can't say much about bugginess because mine has largely been fine but all the same, can't wait for Android 12L.

Ive had mine since launch in September as well and it has held up well. Just had to have samsung replace the inner screen protector since it was peeling in the fold area. I do really miss the periscope camera from my Note 20 ultra and S21 Ultra but hoping the Fold 4 has some real cameras on it. Definitely cant go back to a traditional phone regardless.

I was preparing to have them replace my inner screen and when I removed case it must have stressed the screen and it developed a tear that rapidly got worse. Still has screen protectors, no nicks or holes but broken display and creaky unfolding. At samsung for repair currently.

I traded mine in after about six months for those reasons. Plus I wasn't using the unfolded screen as much as I thought I would. It became sort of like a party trick. "See my phone unfolds...does yours?" type of thing

I really agree on the outer display aspect ratio. No need to be wider as it offers a much better one handed experience, for any scenario that requires a wider display... well, just open the thing lol

Well that's fine if you're main criteria is whether or not you can use it one handed or not. But having a front screen like TV remote is not for everyone. having narrow screen realestate sucks if you have large ish hands or big fingers , not to mention due to the fact its so narrow all your content is smaller , which also means you are much more likely to need to open it up everytime , and even moreso if your eyes are not 2020. having a narrow screen always reduces your capabilities , except for yourone handed typing if your hands are the right size. Hey , it works for you mate and that's great , but for a lot of us the form factor sucks. We could add to that , it has no S pen function on the front screen , so the front screen it is a fail in that regard too.

Agree on the aspect ratio. All these people wanting a full size front screen - you end up with a giant brick that you can't hold nicely in one hand. As for the "content being narrow" - what content? If it's things like videos then open it up! Typing is a little awkward I agree but it's a small price to pay. I hope Samsung stand firm with the aspect ratio - all these complaints are from people who don't fully understand what's best for them. I agree it's a disappointment the s pen doesn't work on the cover screen though, and also, that it's not built in.

Having owned one from launch in the UK (and still using) my one biggest gripe is the app support for the aspect ratios. Most of the time it's acceptable but other times it's treated poorly. Both screens are in great condition with screen protectors removed. My personal complaint is lack of companies making personalised cases for it. (Power wise, it's been an all day phone for me with 10pm sitting at about 15%)

Yes that's an aspect I should have went into during this video. I feel like there will always be some level of limitation in that area until these devices become more mainstream, but hopefully in due time more apps will be optimized for foldable tablet displays

I've had mine for about 4 months. There must have been some update recently because now I have two problems. I'd really appreciate help. One is a frequent (every minute or so when playing youtube vid but also at other times) freezing of the screen with "Google smart lock and my main email address" The message disappears if I touch the screen. I've had gone to the Smart Lock settings and made the changes suggested with no change. I've made sure I have no unread emails but no effect. The other change which the phone has made is that I can no longer rotate in full screen, for example with youtube. I have gone to the setting and made sure the correct option is checked for youtube. Any suggestions? I'm up to doing a factory reset next.

+Shane Symonds While I don't have a Galaxy Fold3 but the Fold2 my phone has held up perfectly. No hinge issues, has been rained on, dropped, including a couple times while unfolded. I mysterious just now recently starting seeing a slight bulge in my main screen. But it isn't affecting my main screen at all. Having a foldable in 2022 isn't anything to be concerned about if you been eying one.

I've had my fold 4 for 2 days and im absolutely loving it, my last Samsung was the curved side s7. Never going back to apple after this experience!

Having this phone in my last year of med school is a godsend. Reading pdf files, taking notes with the S-pen directly in Office or Notes, taking pictures of the whiteboard in flex mode, using 3 apps simultaneously, etc. AMAZING The only actual downside is not being able to shoot 4k@60fps with the ultrawide camera.

how many times can you open and close the phone-? i have samsung z flip and i read the book. it said you can open and close 200,000 times ive done it.more.than required and its havimg problems when you open the phone

I have the Z fold 2 since launch and will never return to a smaller device! Mine does have 2 dead pixels in the screen unfortunately but I still consider the fold 2 as a prototype and I guess the 3rd one is be a lot beter. This thing has replaced my pc and gaming console.
