There’s nothing so unnerving as a completely silent forest. It’s unnatural. Nance, I don’t know if you should walk that road at night. The trash bins will still be there in the morning. I saw a video from a person’s outdoor cameras wherein a woman walked up her driveway in the dark (for mail or trash, I don’t recall) on her rural property. A few minutes after she went inside, those same cameras recorded a mountain lion strolling through her yard.

This was a well written story and yes I was feeling the fear.

I've had an incident in the George Washington National Forest, where everything went silent. It was late summer 2017, I think, the cicadas were so loud, my boyfriend & I were practically yelling at eachother, sitting 2 ft apart. Then, as if someone flipped a switch.. complete silence! I fear hit me & I jumped up & told my boyfriend, "We gotta get the hell outta here, right now"! I threw my helmet on, jumped on my motorcycle & we took off. Now, I suspect it was a Bigfoot. I've seen many bear in the same forest & never did the woods go silent!

Hi, Nance and Sasquad! I enjoyed the story, and yes, it was a scary one! I had a pheasant fly out, from about two feet away from me when I was about 12 years old. They made the most godawful racket, and I about had a heart attach! I remember it to this day, just a few years later. Nance, I hope you have successfully recovered from your eye surgery. As is usual, once you recover, it becomes ancient history. Give Saga a scratch for me!

Sasquatch are humans, as human as anyone else with the exception of appearance. The Almas people are their true name and Sumerian is their language.
