Puget Sound

10 років тому

From modern day sightings to stories of Puget Sound's earliest settlers, Sasquatch has been part of Puget Sound. Roger Fernandes of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe narrates and Dr. Robert Michael Pyle, author of Where Bigfoot Walks: Crossing the Dark Divide, observes that the possibility that Sasquatch exists requires forests where such a creature could be hidden.

@@GeocentricKingdom - It was closer than most people could handle, in my opinion anyway. When my intuition woke me up and told me there was a sasquatch standing right next to me 18 inches away, I hadn't opened my eyes yet. The only hesitation was in turning my head to where it was before opening my eyes. I was in fight or flight mode as soon as I opened them and saw it standing there. I've been accused of going into fight mode because I started to chase it away. I immediately corrected that man. I was in flight mode running as fast as I could straight at it. That caused it's pack to chase us. I started the chase that had 2 people chasing a squatch and it's pack coming after us. We had no intentions of shooting our toy guns at them and getting ourselves killed.

I am native american from the Lenepe tribe.Im SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY, Well, years ago, when I was 14, after my elders had told me story's about the sasquatch, my uncle and I were at a stream, bordering on a corn field, fishing, and as our normal weekend routine, walked the 2 miles to our "secret spot" and for almost the entire morning , enjoying our time together, suddenly, he , after all the story's that he, and most of my elders related to me, during bon-fires, and cook-outs, then bedtime stories...We got there about 7am, caught a few bass and trout, and some sunnys, so we had our limit..by then it was almost 9:30, and we started to pack up. suddenly, during the pack-up he put his hand on my shoulder. and pointed to the direction of the corn field..He said " nephew, now you know" he was HUGE, or She..and we watched for i think almost 3 minutes He/or/She, boarding the field right along the tree line till He/She disappeared into the bush..I know that there is not many people that have experienced REAL sightings, but now i do wish to make IT known that they are REAL, and either an off-shoot of the human race, yet much more primative looking, but may bemore intelligent than most know, or ancestors of us...At our closest distance from HIM/HER we were about 200 feet before it was gone, into the bush.THEN , after we walked to the area where we first watched it, must have been 8 to 9 feet tall. the only signs, track wise, were crushed vegetation from the harvest that year. .I will never forget this encounter. Walking slowly on , yes on 2 feet..IT validated all i was told by my elders but most of them never experienced "REAL" sightings, however my uncle did have a siting when he was young, I will elaborate this further down. And i am honored to have shared his second siting with him. We have an unbreakable bond now, and we only have to look at each-other to relive it. We have spoken about why we were not recognized by "him/her" and we think, because due to the water noise in the stream, He/She didn't notice us at all and we were in a gully, near the stream, with just enough site-line to see the break from the field and the stream. The stream was noisy, and it was walking the border of the corn field and also, our scent must have been masked to it, we were down-wind of "him/her" I still fish that stream,, and uncle has passed, and i walk the heavy brush looking for signs, and, leaving my least favorite fish i have caught as "gifts", still hoping for another encounter. Our area, to the East has a large river bordering 2 states, and to our West not far to the ocean, and South , not far, is a bay, separating 2 states, and to the north, dense populations. So, these beings, are "Landlocked", however elusive. I am a senior elder now, and, carry on the traditions of what i have learned, and experiences of what I have SEEN, and whom i saw it with, to our young. We have heard the wood knocks, stone claps, and gutteral howls at night, during our "Life" sessions, at the usual night campfires, and have had some of our tribe, recount unfamiliar sounds they have heard, and have taken us to a few areas that were 'suspect'. Our young ones continue to learn, as I did, with my uncle, and with any good fortune, the area of the corn-field, and the bush next to it will provide, "IF they are quiet, and attentive" we will someday experience another Incredible siting.. They, at least in my area , have never harmed, or violated our dwellings, or our safety. I believe at least where we are, they Just want to be left to doing what allows them to live free, and feed their own..Remember, it is their HOME,, we just rent it. My Uncles siting as he related to me, was as he was on a hunt trip, with his dad. An all day hunt got them a deer, and some rabbits, which they harvested, and hung to dry, before making camp for the night. they were "bushed" from the hunt, so they got into the sack, and about 2 hours from getting to sleep, a noise woke both of them up. They both woke up the same time, and reached for the weapons, fearing Bear. Uncles Dad, opened up the tent, and uncle peeked next to him to see, in the fires glow , a huge sasquatch picking at the meat, pulling the meat down. They waited in fear, till it cleaned the site of all the meat, and walked slowly away. To this day after i had seen "IT" not more than 200 feet away, (DAYTIME) I will always respect, and treat them as my forest 'partners', and have NO fear of them. YET!

as simple as it sounds, i really think this is the reason why we havent had a hunter bring in a sasquatch. hunters, especially up here in the pacific northwest, know not to shoot anything they dont know for sure is the game they are hunting. hunters are for the most part very ethical people, especially the ones who are going into the woods deep enough to have a sasquatch encounter. these arnt bullet flinging beer drinking truck hunter bubbas who have these encounters, they are serious hunters who go deep into the woods. only shooting what you have a tag for is imprinted in hunters brains as deeply as keep your finger off the trigger till youre ready to shoot. i dont think i could bring myself to shoot a sasquatch if I ever encounter one in the woods hunting, unless it is literally running towards me in a charge.

indeed, and there have been bodies, bones and other physical evidence long ago, already! it´s interesting to observe how many northamericans still need "proof": as soon as the proof is there it is dismissed as hoax. the point is that quite a lot of people don´t like this truth to be true (including most scientists), it would disturb their long-kept worldview, not to mention the log industry, camping, tourism and last but not least many religious hardliners. while, on the other hand, you just need to study the phenomenon abit on the internet and you will be surprised to see the mt everest of proof, mentioned in the comment above. you also would find out that these beings exist on all continents (maybe with the exception of antarctica), and have existed there all along. they are not demons or evil spirits but just another humanoid species, covered with hair and perfectly adapted to their outdoors-life! or you just go into the forest and will find traces (in case you have an open mind), structures and sometimes even themselves. like i did a few times, here in our german woods where they have been known for centuries but, of course, swept under the carpet meanwhile!

My Grandfather beat I guess a BF almost to death with an ax handle. Gramps came around the corner of the barn and saw an animal crouched down and reaching for my Dad and uncle, 9 and 10 at the time. Gramps attacked, caught the thing as it stood up under the chin with the handle and knocked him flat on the he ground. He said he raised the handle over his head to try and hit it in the head to kill it but he realized it looked almost human but without clothes. So he backed up, staying between his boys and the beast. It then got up and staggered away. He said he tried remembering if his Scandinavian ancestors had told of such things but none of those things matched this one. Anyway, my Gramps beat the stuffing out of this BF?and almost killed it with an ax handle. So I don't care if the Government confiscates guns. I've got a couple ax handles around the place. Miss you Gramps.

Good story man, I can hear the love and reverence in your words. Or perhaps I'm projecting, but that's what I am feeling. Did your grandfather clarify whether or not he thought it was going to hurt his boys? I am not passing judgement, just curious. I imagine in a situation like that your brain does some pretty quick calculations, Beast+huge+my kids= axe handle party. I have read a few story's where the beast was actually of a curious if not benevolent nature towards children, but I guess in the heat of a moment you dont take the time to find out.was it lunging at them? This is one of the most intriguing story's I have ever come across concerning this topic. Thank you.

So that made him feel bad about giving it a beating but if Grandma heard him say that she'd tell him he did the right thing and if he sees it he better do it again. He'd talk about it if asked. But that's the whole story.

My Dad remembered a weird encounter with "somebody" and his Dad hitting him with a stick and the man falling down. My Uncle, younger by a year and a half didn't remember hardly anything at all. Mostly his Dad hitting "someone" with a stick. We asked many times to hear the story but that's about all they said about it. Seems my Uncle was more afraid of his Dad for years because he saw him hit the stranger when he probably was in a monster mode himself. Neighbors had no doubts about the story. Gramps was a tall Swede and strong. Also gentle. Never rose a hand to anyone. Didn't spank his kids. And unlike alot of boys, my Dad and Uncles never challenged him growing up. My brothers and I challenged my Dad. And my son's challenged me a few times. Maybe they just took that experience to heart and just knew Gramps wasn't to be trifled with. Or maybe it was love. Or both. Can only guess. They're all gone now. To see them now I only have to go to the cemetery.

Please keep your doubting up so when you come face to face with one you won't be frighten to death then you can doubt what you see until it grabs you and if that happens it won't matter to you anymore !!! Point being if you continue following these soft shoe videos and happen across one of these creatures then the cost will out way the means. Study up on them, they are real and there intentions are not for the better !!!

2015 my world will be forever changed.I will tell you this. One was a teen was around for 4 months but because of this he was helping me get my dog back when it would not come to me because it was after a porcupine on the other side of the fence. It was very dark. The teen saw how I wanted my dog to come to me.So he hit his foot hard on the ground and the dog went running in the house but he gave a Vibration that hit me and Why I New he didn’t mean to was because after I went in the house I was crying because I was so afraid. Then I heard him Mourning outside and I felt he was so so sorry. Then the Mother came to me in mind speak later that night. She said he step to far was to close to you.it will not happy again. And then she showed me so much more. One thing I will say she said more will see them more will hear them it is time the Earth is Hurting.

That’s a pretty clear photo of a Sasquatch at the start. They are real. They should be left alone and we should care enough for our planet so they and all other species can continue to live in their natural habitats.

Asked why he didn't shoot it? What right do we have to destroy other beings, complex creatures and animals which are not doing harm. This is outrageous to even think this way. Imagine someone wandering into your home or lot, then they shoot you or shoot at you. What do we call that in a lawful, civilized society? We must respect the natural world.

Legends are often based in truth. Giants, for instance. The Bible confirms their existence. I know of it mentioning a satyr which is a cryptid hybrid, in the Book of Revelation. The apocryphal books expand on Genesis 6:6 and tell us that not only did the fallen angels corrupt human flesh, but ALL flesh. I believe that is the origin of what we call monsters. Reports of credible people encountering cryptids is on the increase. I speculate they're making a comeback into our existence because the clueless are inviting them.

Being they know what guns are I doubt he’d even have much opportunity to get a clean shot let alone a kill shot. And if he did happen to, chances are slim that him or his rifle would ever be seen again.
