Remember the most important thing about the door is what you can see out of it from the driver's seat. Looking good.

It looks fantastic!! Honestly, this is so entertaining and your kid’s convos in the background are just awesome bonus material. I love how they are right in the thick of it with y’all! I know you guys can’t wait to move in! While watching my 7 year old says “o, I like his tiny little man bun!” 😆

Great job. I really admire your attention to detail and how everything fits together so well because your measurements are so precise. You make it look easy but a lot of hard work goes into every aspect of the build. Thanks.

Hi Loved watching the build of your bus, just an observation as a coach driver here in the UK, are you planning to fit some form of a rubber door seal on the entrance door you have installed in this episode? I know from the experience of being a coach driver, that buses and coaches are as areodynamic as a brick, due to the square frontage of the front, the result of this is that entrance doors suffer with a lot of wind noise when the vehicle is in motion and also can rattle a lot, that's why these vehicles are normally fitted with quite a substansial rubber door moulding, to allow for the wind noise and the movement of the door frame and the general twisting of the body whilst on the move. Lovely internal work, and i love the external colour you have chosen 👍 I hope you and the family have many great adventures in the bus. Stay safe guys 😉
@lifeanywhere2 роки тому
Yes sir we are. I’m going to build a frame that the door closes into with rubber or foam strips all around. So, the door isn’t finished, but it’s close. Also, I want to make sure the door doesn’t have gaps for cold air to come in. Good observation!

You should be able to add one of those chain spring combos that they put on a screen door to keep the wind from catching it and attach it to the inside of the door to keep from overextended your hinge....also in the summer you may want to install one of those magnetic door screens to get more air Flo and keep the bugs... It's also a good idea to have an extra inverter on hand in case something happens to the one your using you have a backup that's come in handy twice, we don't have a bus but we have a solar system on an off grid property in Wyoming and we've learned a backup is a good idea
@lifeanywhere2 роки тому
Yes!!! I already considered adding a spring. I don’t want that hinge binding over time.

@@lifeanywhere Keeping that inverter might be a good idea w/ materials getting harder & harder to get. I seen on another channel their inverter went out & they couldn't find one where they were & had to get someone across the country to have one shipped to them then send it to them. Meanwhile they had to remain parked at a campsite for 2wks while they waited on it.

i absolutely love your build . have been here since the beginning and look forward to the new videos . hopefully one day i’ll be able to complete my own build . 🙏🏽
@paige60282 роки тому
I look forward to everyone of your videos! Your work is awesome. I've been around this type of work for over 20yrs & I've seen what crappy work looks like vs work where someone takes pride in their work & has outstanding work ethics & you definitely are the latter of those two. These days people like yourself (& your famil) are few & far between. Won't be much longer & y'all will be ready for your maiden voyage. I know the kids are excited! Are you getting nervous the closer you get to finishing?

Yeah it’s that dusty compressed brown material hahaha. Don’t remember what it’s called and I can’t think of a better way to describe it lol

How has this door held up? I'm thinking about copying how you built it, except with an extra rv window we have instead. Are you happy with it or do you have any tips on mistakes to avoid?
@lifeanywhereРік тому
I love it. The only issue we’ve had is a little water leak, but a bit more silicone around one of the windows fixed it. It’s super strong and hasn’t shifted at all.

How much for the inverter? Interested!
@lifeanywhere2 роки тому
$500
@streettruckin7852 роки тому
I am interested in the inverter
@lifeanywhere2 роки тому
I have a guy locally that is interested but I haven’t heard from him in a few days. It’s a 24 volt 3000 watt pure sine inverter. I’ve taken out of the box once to take pictures of it. I’ll take $500 plus the cost to ship it to you.
