This is actually insane! So many changes that imy really excited for! It's gonna take a bit for balancing but this seems like a really healthy step in the right direction for the game

Honestly I'm happy for anything. The past couple preseasons were pretty tame compared to the sweeping changes done between seasons 4-8. Can't wait to see how crazy the game becomes.

Sooo happy to see the champion quests return! I always thought that was a super cool bonus objective that also has some good synergy with the lore

This will require a lot of balancing down the line but im all for trying new and exciting changes to keep the game fresh and intresting. Glad to see riot is looking for ways to overhaul parts of the game that have gotten too linear and one dimensional.

I downloaded this game back in 2014 - I played for a while but never competitively. I recently bought myself a new PC, after being a Macbook user for many years. So, now, I think it's time to get back on to the Rift and play some more!

I haven't played in months, and now I get to essentially learn a brand new game!! This is so exciting!

LOVING the new item tooltip. It is always nice to see space used to compartmentalize different sorts of information and makes it easier to read. Also nice use of colours and icons. Only thing I would change is putting the gold price under the name of the item because having it all alone in the upper right corner disturbs the flow of reading.

Ngl the fistbump idea is amazing. There is tons of ways to show negativity, but few to show support, encouragement and share positivity. Feeding the poro in aram is dumb yet it’s one of the reason the mode is so chill. I think it will genuinely help to have fun and realise the toxicity doesn’t represent the silent majority

I actually like this. Trying new things most often leads to innovation. They might make more maps variations in the future too.

I am not sure how the terrain changes will work out specially on the top side - the brush seems way too small. And the new gank paths definitely take some getting used to. The baron change is definitely the sickest thing though - thats an amazing change. Looks like 2024 is gonna be fun!

We'll see if the new, harder gang setup works out, but I liked how the hold rift herald and baron looked

I like every single change announced here. I wish we saw even more variety on the map so this is a definite move in the right direction. I hated mythics since they came in as they just made item choices and builds so linear, so glad to hear that has been scrapped. Jungle ganking made more difficult is great to hear, I hope this isn't just a direct big buff to unconventional gankers like Kayn, Zac, Rek'Sai etc. Support item changes make a lot of sense. I think this is the most promising pre-season yet, purely because it is just a straight-improvement to the game itself, regardless of champion or class.

I love that you are emphasising the top side of the map this year! I cant wait to see the new creatures in action.

First of all, this video was scripted amazingly. I especially loved the slightly humorous speed up summary at the end. Second of all, these changes look ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. QoL changes, massive gameplay changes, tons of easter eggs like the champion quests, cool new details, etc. I'm especially excited about the support item changes and I can't wait to see how much more flexible it feels, because it really did feel a little pidgeon-hole'y before. Finally a new season I'm super genuinely excited for!

I love the Void theme though. I hope in future updates they'll be themed on certain areas of Runeterra, seems like a great rotation method :D

The new map is one of the best things they have done in a while. There has been a ton of new champions and a lot more mobility so its good that the map is adapting to the new gameplay.

I've played league on and off for years, but this might just bring me back into trying to casually enjoy this game again. This season looks like a phenomenal attempt into balancing the map to the new standard of mobility champs have.

I really like they're improving the tooltips and the direction they're taking on items such as Zhonya's. Hope to see more item changes like Zhonyas to accommodate more builds on different champions.

I started playing this game before mythic items and it was a much better game. I always felt like I have to build this item first, before mythic items you can build any item you wanted first and not rely on a items bonus.

i'm most looking forward to the map changes and surprisingly, them simplifying items. i think a lot of frustration in the game comes from early ganks and side differences (i.e i'm easy to gank but my opponent isn't), and making items easier to understand should be super helpful for new players, as well as us veterans trying to relearn dozens of items

Happy to see more champ interactions. The rengar/khazix one for example is incredibly wonderful and the game needs more of these.

Ivern is gonna be really interesting with these new tankier buffs... Hope daisy doesn't bug with the void changes.

Love the change overal, but hated the scruttle change, sad face for support ward, now you gotta time the barron, but warding in enemy jg or other location make far more sense.

I actually kinda like the objective focus and map changes, the game has felt stale for awhile so i haven't kept up a whole lot with League but this looks like a nice change of pace. Junglers and team communication seem much more important especially counter jungling those void buffs. Hope this season turns out well it looks fun!

"We want to simplify the game" - Herald can now be driven like a Sion, but if crash you have to wait, but if crash into certain place you wait less, or you can summon it as normal. - Simplified. - Buffs and crab are normal, unless Baron has spawned, then they change in different ways. - Simplified. - Speaking of Baron, he now has RNG on his abilities and even the terrain around him. So memorise all 4 and learn how best to utilize / counter-utilize each different terrain change. - Simplified. - Before Baron even shows up (and before Herald) there's also (up to) 6 of these grub things that also spawn other things. If you kill them you'll have a dot for turrets. Kill more, more dot damage. Kill all 6 - you'll also spawn other things, yourself. - Simplified. - Infernal drake is no longer just a terrain-changer, now there's a bunch of small things you collect, but they explode when you die and other people can collect them, and it's just another thing for you to keep track of. - Simplified. - Oh, and new items to learn. Plus old items to learn. - Simplified. I mean, I LIKE the changes (especially the champ-specific missions; I used to love the Kha'Zix/Rengar one and used to wish there were more like that) but if 'simplification' is what you were going for - You really missed the mark.

I love it! Especially the music and champion quests. I love it when the world becomes more immersive. Can't wait to figure out how to ward well and such in the new rift. Great work Riot!

It's gonna feel odd with the new map changes, just like it did when they first made the changes to top and bot lane, but at some point, it will feel like it was always in the game.

This is going to be weird but I love it! Minus the fact that mythics are gone, that's going to be something that will be difficult for me to get used to as I only just recently got ahold of what mythics I need to buy for certain champs in norms to go against my enemy lanner T^T

Zhonya's no more ability haste? Overall looks interesting. Especially like the team wide blue buff.

Guess next worlds will be purple grump focus since tower pushing will be prioritise. As a player from S1, i am happy they still able to give new things. So T1 being the last champ of the old map is a time to be remember.

The changes actually look so good! I'm definitely the happiest about the most minor change - champion quests. Such a small detail but a fun interaction.

All those updates are looking insane, i can't wait to be in January. But is there an Event with Kindred who is coming ? The animation at the end look a lot like them.

I love everything about this. And as a support main, I love the bush changes and the consolidation of early support items.

Now this is exciting. Ever-changing terrain and Items.

I hope you bring back the Christmas map and with the new update you fix the problems with your client like unable to select roles, screen spluttering, unable to click certain tabs without the client breaking, game invites not working, clicking play then hearing the music but nothing is appearing on the screen.... I could really go on for more

Just please add more fun non base game stuff, like seasonal map decorations and story/coop based game modes

Slow clap, nice one Riot. It's super cool to see the team look at a TON of systems and ask "but why?" about so many things we take for granted. I think this is going to fix a lot of the issues we currently have (ie jungle being the only person with real agency) and sure it will introduce more I am sure but I really like the big changes.
