Me too. My father had a friend who only had one arm and he would go to big shows like the Big E in Springfield Massachusetts and all of the manufacturers would have huge tents set up with all different model bikes and quads. After these shows closed, he'd take a set of bolt cutters and clip the cheap chains that were around these machines then simply roll them out the back of the tents while no one was there then roll them into the back of his van and take off. No one gave him a second look because how was a one-armed man supposed to steal motorcycles and 3 wheelers/quads? My father would then buy them brand new for $500 apiece (we also got a 1985 Honda ATC 250R and 1985 Suzuki Quad Racer 250 also brand new from the same guy). Ah, the good old days. 😁

I went through 3-4 years of depression, hardly ate, hardly slept, cried full blown tears all day over nothing, over everything. Kept going to the docter having him test me for everything thinking something was cause it. He kept telling me I was depressed. I kept rejection that thinking it had to be something else. Finally in desperation I said ok, I'm depressed what can we do about it. He tryed a few different meds that after a week on each I stopped because I didn't like them. Then He tryed mirtazapin. It's a anti depression, anti anxiety with a sleep aid. First night on it I slept 8 hours. Then started eating again. I made improvements daily and my brain slowly started to work again. It took a few months to fully come back, get all my confidence back, start doing the things I loved again. I'm not the exact person I was before my depression, but almost. I relate some of that to my age now, 63. There is so many toxins in our air, food, water, they build up over time. Anyway I've suggested that medication to freinds who were going through similar problems, and it worked for them also. I'm still on it 4-5 years later, but I like what it's doing for me. I almost never get jacked up about anything anymore, have a loving relationship with my wife again, life is good again. Talk to your docter, mabey give it a try. Stay away from ANY! Vaccines, their designd to harm these days. My problems came on after a flu vaccine, then got worse the following year after another one. Every time I go to the doctor they try to get me to get caught up on vacanations, I say no. They are trained to convince you their good, and get kickbacks for giving them to you. Above all never ever, ever, get a covid vacs. The Supreme court is getting ready to pull it because it's harmed and killed so many people. If you already did you should do some body cleanses, a few rounds of ivermecton. You will never get it out of your body but it will help. Good luck freind, don't give up.

Your stablizer arm on the rear brake system is also bent. With oil in the cooling system you could also have a leaky head and or gasket leak. I'm probably not the first person asking for this but i would love to see the entire project, its only missing the outro where you could share what you did with the bike/atv, if sold for how much and do you feel like it was a good deal

Hey just a tip for the corrosion, never use green coolant like the bike had in it. Always use something like Motul motocool factory line red/orange coolant thats specially made for magnesium parts. The green coolant isnt bad in use but it will react over time when sitting still. I have a shifter kart with 1986 CR125 engine and its been eaten through on the waterpump nipple where the hose attaches. I repaired it with industrial waterpump coating epoxy thats used in factories and powerplant turbines 😎

Not to ell you how to spend your money, but for 12 dollars I would have replaced that butterfly valve with an OEM part.

Someone's probably already said but the choke on these is also a fuel screw.... Up n down for choke clockwise and anticlockwise for fuel mixture..... Standard pilot was fine probably, fuel mixture needed adjusting. Have a look at the carb it's got 2 different sets of arrows for the choke mechanism

I had a 81 atc 250r doing the same thing. I changed everything Still the same come to find out dirt daubers or mud daubers had got up in the expansion chamber on the pipe and had it 3/4 of the way stopped up. Cleaned that mess out and it run good after that.

My 1987 TRX250X is having similar bogging issues, ran the Keihin and a Chinese carb and got similar results so I'm gonna change my spark plug and if that dont work check my needle to make sure it's not all the way down

Hey man I love your shows but when you go to start an engine if you'll hold the throttle wide open they will start a lot easier and when riding them still going up and down with throttle hold it steady

The valve plate you replaced does have a hole through the middle (square hole) so the one you made isnt exactly correct. Changing the jetting definately seemed to help and it was revving out a lot better

I had both a 1986 and a 1987 CR. The 87 model was the first Homda CR125 to have a rear disc brake. The 86 had a drum. The 87 unbelievably had 6 hp more than an 86 however the 86 model was way better handling! How much better handling? It handled so good i could ride it as hard as i wanted and felt i could bot crash on it!

i rode all them 125 's when they were new ,they were all fast & i think it came down to rider & race team prep ,,in standard form it was hard to notice any difference i do think the powerband hit harder on the cr which made it feel more powerful but lacked bottom end it took longer to get into the powerband kawasaki's were the same where yamaha had more broad even sort of power which made faster riding for me . But cool vintage bike that does not appear to have had a lot of use ,what a good score .
