@@isaacramirez2098 That would be a great matchup. But it would have to be at 126 since Inoue doesn't have the build to fight effectively in a weight class higher than featherweight. Inoue would give him a lesson on what the "sweet science" is really all about...And I agree that bantamweight is the most interesting weight class in boxing right now. You got real competition in that weight class, all of the top guys step into the ring with a mission to knock out their opponent, and there's no ducking and dodging in that weight class like all the other divisions.

Have you seen their spar in mayweather gym from years ago? Gives you an idea of what it would be like. Really high level stuff and surprisingly entertaining. Might be diff now they are pros, might not want to take as many risks but you never know

"Hit and don't get hit" does not have to be a boring stick and move type of performance, it can be done in an exciting and aggressive manner. Cus D'Amato's style is a great example, great for defense without sacrificing offense at the same time.

i honestly blame floyd for the bullshit today. yeah floyd was a legend and yeah he was skilled but he started the blue print towards the end of his career and retirement over promoting fights that he definitely had the advantage to win. mayweather was always about his health which is good. but he talked about how he rather beat the sport up than have the sport beat him up. thats where this circus comes in with over promoting fights while he can be safe with less damage and beat his opponent. he even paved the way for people like jake paul to fight people he more skilled or better at but hype the fight up like he will lose. danny garcie tried this for a while but finally got exposed. they rather piggy back safe making a decent amount at the pro levels than take risk like canelo or all the other legends to make the big payday . they can make the rest off of interviews this days with the internet and of promotion bullshit.

Stevenson is clearly the superior boxer here, and to build your marketability and reputation (more exciting=more viewers=bigger pay day), you gotta knock him out or at least put on an exciting show. they more concerned with promotion these days and interviews for pay while making a confortable paycheck instead of taking risk to make what fighter like canelo is making. as a career from the fighters point of view it seems like a reasonable thing to do but it destroying the sport. as much as a legend as mayweather was he created this blueprint towards the end of his career and retired of not letting the sport beat you up but beat the sport with good health. but with any profession it suppose to be about your love for a challenge regardless how important your health is.

Throughout boxing history all the true great hall of famers always ko'd the majority of opponents on their rise to the top, when they got to the top they carried on that reign in devastating fashion and if they did not, then they were usually a part of a complete one sided domination/mismatch.. nowadays the highlights of a bout is seeing a fighter protect his 0 by any means necessary - meaning take no risks, have 0 bad intentions when they do throw a punch, scrape/get a win on points and the highlight of a fight if you are lucky is a knockdown.. then they say "OHHH HE IS GOING TO BE SO GREAT" wtf..
