@@SherpasDay that's funny to think about, a pupper with galoshses on...stomping thru puddles. Lol. I've been meaning to ask you, how do you keep Sherpa's water cold when you keep it in the back of the mini. Do you chill it b4 hand or freeze it and it just thaws until you need it? A small Yeti cooler will keep it cold and if the cooler has ice in it it can go thru a house fire and not melt the ice. I saw a fireman do a test like that online. It was amazing!!!! Outside of cooler was totally messed up but the ice was still frozen.

This harness is one of the strap designs, rather than a jacket type of harness, so Sherpa isn't wearing a 'coat'. It's those style ones he really hates. I'm guessing it's probably because he feels restricted in the jacket type.

Milo ... what a lovely name. He seems like he was a great doggie🤗 They do leave pawprints🐾 in our hearts 💞 no matter how long since they've crossed the rainbow bridge🙏

@@AidaJof It will be 11 years ago this coming Christmas that I had to let him go. He beat all the odds. The RSPCA wanted to put to sleep because he was the runt of the litter, claiming he wouldn't live for long. He lived for 17 years. His heart arrhythmia, arthritis & diabetes never effected him. In the last year of his life the diabetes finally claimed his sight, though you wouldn't know it. He was still defending his feline siblings from any stray cats, looking to pick a fight. He was mad as a box of frogs, gentle, loyal, docile & above all loving. He loved a cuddle. Sadly, it was a literal freezing cold winter when he developed a nasty chest infection. On its own, it was bad enough, but treatable. Unfortunately, the side effects of the strong medication he would have needed risked his diabetes going haywire, which was risky in a young dog, let alone a old boy. So it was heartbreaking, but it was kinder to let him go peacefully. My vet practice is tiny, and because once a month, for the entire day, he'd have to spend the day there, all the staff knew him. Professionalism went out the window. The nurses, vets & admin staff were in tears too. Milo had become part of their working day family. They all knew him. They never kept him in a kennel & always had him in the office, running around, playing & being cheeky, just like Sherpa is. I take heart in the fact that he made such a positive impact on so many lives. While my practice sends out a grievance card for animals who they care for, its signed with a company logo, massed printed, with just the addressee name changed. When Milo died, they didn't do that. All of the staff personally signed a card, with messages from each of them. I guess I think I've been thinking about Milo more lately because of Sherpa's had a rough time, health wise, recently. Nothing serious, obviously, but it's the sedation if an older dog that is the most scary. I know if Sherpa was mine, I wouldn't want Sherpa have the operations, but know he MUST have them. It's a horrid feeling. Then when Jamie said Sherpa was crying afterwards, my heart just shattered.

Now I understand that Milo was a very special doggie to overcome all those obstacles and live to be 17 years old. Milo was amazing and touched all those who knew him. Hugs to you dear. I understand all too well when I had to put my kitty-cat Mimi of 19 yrs of age to sleep (22 years ago) it became evident that it was the kinder thing to do for her after all the years of love & joy she had given me, I owed it to her ... it was the single hardest thing and the most unselfish thing that I have ever done. Hugs & blessings to you dear friend. Let's continue to rejoice in the company of Sherpa, who together with his hooman, Jamie, bring so much joy to all of us here🤗🥰🤗
