"When everything goes right, you have to give away all the credit, but when everything goes wrong, you have to take all the responsibility" - Simon Sinek
@Apezz194 роки тому
hazel aguilar honestly, watching the people under u get the credit feels way better than receiving the credit..if u lead them right..it feels way better..i know this cz i’ve been doing for years..only like 5months ago i watched simon sinek speak i realised it

This should be common sense. My father ran his business successfully for 47 years based on empathy. He understood leadership. It works.
@omispirit78995 років тому
For me this was all common sense. So from his message what I get which is congruent with my own perspective.... Society just lacks compassion and empathy so this message of Simon's is news for them!
@liamcallery28334 роки тому
i think you have missed the point. Its not the idea that its simple or complicated or 'common sense' - its that people are not taught to be leaders.
@gsftb4 роки тому
i thought it was common sense until i left school and applied for a job.. then i thought "this is normal - not to be empathetic" but to be "the best no matter what" and then i found great people like Simon who remind me that i wasn't wrong all along.
@markperez68773 роки тому
A great man he is. Few are like him! ☺️ i hope to be like him one day
@True383 роки тому
@@gsftb Well, what is "right" or "wrong" exactly? I think it's up to each and everyone to decide at the end of the day. One of the most important characteristics you can obtain is integrity, honesty, and dignity. Those 3 traits alone are sufficient to make you a decent and respectable human being. Other than that, don't get caught up in "wrongs" or "rights" in everyday life, meaning don't be so judgemental. See things as they are instead, situations that play out, and how you want to deal with them.

I'm not a businessman. I'm a teacher, but I believe what he said doesn't apply to only business. I want to make an environment where my students feel comfortable and willing to find their potentials. And this is what my principal should watch. When everything goes well, she doesn't appreciate our efforts, but she only criticizes us when something bad happens.

I hope this message finds you well but I am a motivational speaker and some of the issues that you mentioned here is what I help solve with students, teachers, and administration. I have had the privelege to travel the country living out this purpose. Would you mind hopping offline and speaking more in depth about some of these issues on a deeper level?

I'm an old retired middle level manager, and we never heard this type of motivational speeches before about how to manage. Every time Simon opens his mouth I am amazed, because he speaks to Perspective and Empathy and the need for Altruistic leaders as a way for businesses to sustain their forward movement and to treat their most important assets, their employees, as if they matter. If you can please pass this one to everyone on your mailing list. Businesses need to hear this more than they need profits in the short term.
@krisschaeffer34884 роки тому
That is why I took my old self out of retirement to join the Conscious Capitalism Movement. I was the oldest person in the first class of consultants, and now am on fire to help bring humanity to business. Heck, Michaelangelo was 71 when he became the architect and engineer for St. Peter's. I can help the movement. @rumplestiltskin Come out and work with us.

One of the best speech I've ever heard. I made my Bachelor degree's thesis based on Emotional Intelligence, and I wish I could watch this video to make everything easier.
@blakebunch4485Рік тому
Emotional intelligence is a made-up term. There have been a lot of papers written about it however it amounts to nothing more than "agreeableness" the term emotional intelligence was coined by some journalist. What does it mean anyway? That I can infer what you're thinking or feeling. Maybe I know exactly what you're thinking and feeling and just don't give two shits. How do you differentiate emotional intelligence from empathy or sympathy? By the way it turns out that people who lack agreeableness and are disagreeable are the ones that succeed in the workplace. Not the other way around. Don't feed into the hype. I know they teach this in schools but schools are often wrong this is one case of many. I do hope you got your bachelor's degree and a good score on your thesis. I wish you well. Life itself is a classroom you can learn everywhere.
@human749111 місяців тому
I don't like both adjectives. Agreeable and disagreeable. Let's rather use full sentences and say that emotionally intelligent people agree when they agree, disagree when they disagree. That's it. You don't have to view one as negative and the other one as positive. Feelings aren't fixated.
@girlinterupted20033 роки тому
wow!! Love this!!!

Wow, now I know why I couldn't get results in the finite game. I was playing an infinite game in a finite environment and I could get myself well understood. Thanks for this insight. It is enormously helpful. I feel you ant to help people and you succeeded today.

Who are those 290 dislikes? Seriously what is wrong with people 😡? Do you hear eye-opening leadership advice for your company every day? There isn't a single downside about the things he says. If everyone feels more secure and fulfilled in their work environment they are more happy. If they are happier they are doing their job better and are more friendly to the customers. Satisfied and happy customers means more job for the company itself 😊. There are so many aspects in life that depend on how we are treated and how we treat others.
