NGL I relate to Chris, when my social battery is spent or I reach a certain threshold, I just go "I'm done" and dip and I had to train myself to remind people so I don't worry them bc ppl got legit mad at me for just peacing without saying bye or whatever

I watch the long versions of these a couple months ago when you first did it. And I can tell you it’s the most fun in the afternoon we sit down and smoke a bowl. And watch your video on my big screen. Feels like I’m skiing. It was amazing. I can’t wait until we can shoot in 3-D I’m on the VR headset

I once learned what 'ass over teakettle' meant in a very clear and concise way skiing. I was going down a large long curve, and enjoying the speed I had going, and then my rented skii detached and my foot hit the ground and dug in. I vividly remember my body flinging violently like a rag doll in unreal engine. My classmates said it was amazing, limbs spread eagle, bouncing down the snowy hillside. The fun of snow was that i wasn't hurt. I was definitely a bit scrambled, but i came to a stop by sliding and rolling not smacking into a tree, or say the skii lift pole (sorry about breaking your thigh bone Joey).

Got 1 friend living in hokkaido and 2 that been there. They both have said the view is very lovely when it snowing on a bright day. Btw try the snacks they offer near the mountains. Always yummie

Someday I hope to ski in Japan and catch a deep deep pow day that I saw in the ski videos growing up. Thanks for the vid Connor. I hope I can get some days in next season. Been off the hill two years now and I miss it. I look at my four pairs of skis daily and hope for a good winter. Edit: Also is Connor wearing Hestras? Those look like Hestras. Solid choice. I've had mine for well over a decade. Excellent glove.

Fully agree with Conner, start with skiing. Snowboarding is fun but exhausting on your body, a lot harder to dodge things, and annoying to get up. The biggest is how much harder it is to slow down/stop from going stupid fast without just dying because of how badly your body wants to go forward when your feet want to stop.

where i live theres a really cheap place to ski about an hour away, so everyone here grows up having skii'd or snowboarded at least once. sometimes as a school trip. i dont miss the cold and wet, though so i havent gone since i was a teen 😅

Oh, I feel sorry for the skin of Chris' face around those sunglasses. It must have been dry af, and likely flaky due to the lens focusing dry air behind and to the sides of the glasses. Since he's wearing a helmet, the dry skin was likely around his nose and upper cheeks along the cheekbones.

I have heard many stories of people getting injured when using pole straps. Imo it's better to just let the poles fall away when you crash instead of having them tied to your body. A friend of mine injured his hand super badly due to pole straps and they are also very bad in case of an avalanche
