Nobody's been "begging for first party games like the rumored 3d Mario". Nintendo fans have constantly been asking 3rd parties and indies if they're bringing their game to the Switch. There's only a few people who only bought a switch for 1st party games and try to buy everything they can on other consoles, who hate that 3rd party / indie games want to support Nintendo, because that means that all the money they spent buying all those other platforms was a colossal waste, especially when the switch version of a third party game turns out better, more optimised, or "complete edition" of the game they had bought on some no-name-brand platform.
