I’m so very thankful for people like Denise and Dr.Andrew . I have a one eyed Shih Tzu that came from a similar situation. Her original owner ran over her and dumped her across the street from a vets office . A rescue stepped into pay for all her surgeries and fostered her while she recovered . The accident took her eye , broke her pelvis , broke her jaw and snapped the ligaments in one of her back legs . That was 7 years ago and she’ll be turning 9 in June . She loves her toys , her walks , her treats and loves being spoiled rotten by her grandmother. Thanks to people like Denise , rescues and wonderful vets for giving me the best thing that’s ever happened to me ! ❤

This reminds me of my grandma’s Shih tzu, he was cruelly thrown from a moving car right near her house! So she took him to the vet and then took him home, where he stayed for several years after. Some people can be so cruel!!!

Our family rescued a one-eyed Shih Tzu who'd lost her eye in a traumatic dog attack. She is the most amazing little dog and has overcome so much. So glad that sweet Andrew has recovered from having a smashed pelvis and he can now have a chance at a happy, healthy life! Much love to Denise and human Andrew and everyone who had a hand in helping this precious boy!!!! 💖💓💕

Who pays for the surgery of all these orphan dogs that Denise rescues. I hope she doesn't pay out of her own pocket. Does she collaborate with a charity? Andrew is such a great surgeon. He really does miracles with those pets. Congratulations ❤ 👍

Andrew is an amazing surgeon. His compassion for his patients is a beautiful thing to see. Denise is amazing, and has helped so many dogs who would otherwise have been euthanized. It renews one’s faith in the human race to see things like this.🖤🇨🇦

It's amazing how animals seem to recover from comparable surgeries that humans have, in almost NO TIME!! Granted, they cannot verbalize, but their physical activity confirms that! Humans that I know, undergoing similar procedures, are still feigning inability to walk after a year!!

Imagine the excruciating pain he was in while at the pound. That poor little fella. I could see from the way he was huffing in the waiting room that he was in terrible pain. I will say that pets are too often unmedicated by vets - we bring female dogs home on only an anti-inflammatory after being spayed! Can you imagine getting no pain meds after a hysterectomy or a c-section?! If you have a dog that needs surgery, be sure to press for pain meds. You are your dog's only advocate.

This is not only shih tzu. It's a mix. Shih tzu dogs have much shorter nose. It might be Lhasa apso

If only we had these folks in the US… maybe they could’ve saved my dog Morty. An Amazon delivery driver bringing us our package ran over my boy while we were out of town visiting family, snapped his tail and fractured his pelvis, he quickly drove off without leaving us a note or anything. We caught it on our camera. A lady from Amazon sent us a compensation but we ended up putting him to eternal sleep a week later.

Why was the dog even running around on the road to begin with? Driver may have thought it was a stray and didn’t care, which on its own doesn’t make it any better. But it’s fairly irresponsible to let a dog run around without a leash.

@@NaeniaNightingale Was the doggie in the driveway? It does serve as a warning: keep yard pets away from all traffic. Delivery drivers are often in such a rush. Sadly, my dad once backed the car over the cat, which had become deaf and couldn't hear the approaching danger. The accident was fatal.

Dr. Andrew asked if he & puppy Andrew looked anything alike. My opinion is that Dr. Andrew needs more facial hair to look more like Andrew the puppy. 🤭
